Misunderstandings happen all the time. When we misunderstand a spouse or a friend, the consequences might be confusion, frustration, or even disconnection in the relationship. After Peter heals the lame man, he looks to correct a misunderstood people and provide gospel clarity. (11-03-19)

Submisson and self-denial are things we automatically, often without even thinking, push back against. We want our own way and we get blinded to the freedom that submission to Christ offers. the Bible mentions money and possessions over 800 times. Why? Because of how tempting it is to worship money over God and the realization that the more you have, the harder it can be to stay the course and follow after Jesus. These are serious, heavy words, but also encouraging and freeing. (07-28-19)

James draws a clear line when it comes to the danger of using out tongues to judge one another and tear each other down. As long as we speak evil about one another, the world will dismiss our Jesus as just another teacher who lacks the power to change us. (07-14-19)
