We are reminded here the difference between what human eyes see and what the eyes of Christ see. Jesus sees their hunger. Both physically and spiritually. He sees their need. And to him, it’s an opportunity. Our needs are not a burden to Jesus, they are an opportunity to display his power and glory.

John begins with a stunning claim. John makes it clear who Jesus is. He is the Word— the eternal God— the divine logos. Jesus isn’t just a man who did divine things. Nor is he a man who became God. From the beginning, He was with God, and He was God.

Through gathering on Sundays + connection in community, we want to see more and more people formed by the gospel and growing in discipleship. Discipleship is the result of our lives being formed by Christ, and it is nurtured in the context of gospel-community.
