From Matthew 13:53-14:12. We begin a passage of scripture that helps us wrestle with the question of who Jesus is and how we respond to Him. How do you respond to the teaching and works of Jesus?

From Matthew 13:24-52. The Kingdom of Heaven is the work that Jesus, the King, is doing in His world, through His people, and for His people.

From Matthew 13:24-52 we see that Jesus uses parables to teach His people about the Kingdom.

From Matthew 13:1-23. We see Jesus telling stories that have a spiritual truth. While sometimes parables can be difficult to understand, the reality is that they convey truth. This passage is somewhat of an introduction to parables, and we see that Jesus calls us to ask that we have ears to hear His word.

From Matthew 12:33-50. We see that Jesus is who God promised He would be. Whenever opposition arises, we must cling to Him trusting that His spirit's presence within us will be revealed in our lives.

From Matthew 12:15-32. We see that Jesus is able to accomplish all things in all realms of life because He is Lord of all things.

From Matthew 12:1-14. We see that Jesus declares that He is the Lord of everything, worthy of praise and honor and worship in all things and there isn’t a single realm of the world that prohibits Him from anything. As the people of God, we should related to Him accordingly.

From Matthew 11:25-30. This passage shows us that Jesus is inviting us to bring all of the mess of who we are to Him and allow Him to be the God who restores, heals, and makes all things new.

From Matthew 11:1-24. In this passage, we see that Jesus is the Savior and as the Savior, He is able to accomplish everything that God desires for the world and that is a blessing to the people of God. Faith is following that Jesus. This means we will not know and/or, may not like, each & every step of the way.

From Matthew 10:16-42. Jesus gives His disciples His promise of His presence and His allegiance even in the face of great opposition.

From Matthew 9:35-10:15. In this passage we see that the kingdom of Jesus is built by Jesus but through His sent ones. If you belong to Jesus, you are a sent one and the work goes forward through you and all who call themselves a disciples of Jesus.

From Matthew 9:9-34. We see in this passage how Jesus has come to save all who are lost. Jesus shows us that there is good news for everyone that admits they are lost and are in need of a Savior.

From Matthew 8:18-9:8. Is there something in your life that you aren’t willing to give up for the sake of pursuing Jesus?

From Matthew 7:28-8:17. We see that Jesus is the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords and His authority is above all things. He is the one worthy of giving our entire lives to.

From Matthew 7:15-27. In this passage we see that whether we face challenges from without or within, our hope is built on and founded in the rock of Christ. We cannot lose sight of this.

From Matthew 7:1-14. If we had a list of the top ten verses that get quoted but misinterpreted, two of those top ten would be in this passage: “Don’t judge” and “Ask and it will be given to you.” But taking these passages within their context reminds us that Jesus brings clarity to relationships, teaching His followers how to engage with one another, with God their Father, and with all people.

From Matthew 6:19-34, Jesus helps us understand what it means to treasure Him above all else.

From Matthew 6:1-18. We see that Jesus isn’t concerned with the “what”; He’s concerned with the “why.”

From Matthew 5:17-48.

From Matthew 5:13-16, we see that Jesus is declaring His disciples as salt and light of the world. What does that mean and how does that impact how we are to live in this world?

From Matthew 5:1-12. We see that when God gives us ethical standards, His purpose is to lead people into goodness and into blessing. Following Jesus is a blessing in the present and into eternity.

From Matthew 4:12-25. In today’s passage we see the beginning of Jesus’ public, earthly ministry. Jesus is teaching, ministering, and calling people to Himself and to join Him in the Kingdom He is building.

From Matthew 4:1-11. In this passage, we see that Jesus was tempted and He did not sin. It is in Christ that He offers us a Savior that completely identifies with what we are tempted by. He knows the power to not succumb to the temptation, but to walk in righteousness, obedience and faithfulness. He can lead us forward because He lived such a life.

From Matthew 3:1-17 (Part 2). Today’s sermons helps us consider and think about the reasons that God sent John and the purpose of God’s ministry. The kingdom of Jesus isn’t about our theological pedigree, but it is primarily about Jesus and how we respond to Him.

From Matthew 3:1-17. This common passage tells the story of John the Baptist. Something we fail to remember is that the ministry of John the Baptist was not to the pagans, but rather, to the religious. His message was one of repentance. We see that in the kingdom of Jesus, religious identification isn’t the measuring stick, commitment to the King is.
