From Psalm 6.

From Psalm 51. We see that sin is a weighty, wicked thing and we absolutely must treat it with deadly seriousness. We must grapple with the weight and gravity of our sin. Because of what Jesus has done, it is possible to repent from our sin, flee from it, and to find true forgiveness for it and true joy after it.

From Psalm 15. This psalm asks who can enjoy God’s presence, protection, and provision? We see that it is the person by faith who walks with God.

From Psalm 119. A combination of prayer, praise, lament, and wisdom, this study of Psalm 119 reveals how important God’s word is to both the writer of the psalm and to all those who follow God.

From Psalm 103. In this psalm, we see David is stirring himself to worship the Lord. In doing so, he is showing us how to stir ourselves to worship the Lord.

From Psalm 97. In this psalm, we see that the Lord reigns over all things and He invites us to find hope, joy, and praise in His reign over the world.

From Psalm 4. In this psalm, we see that it is okay to be hurting, but when you are, cry out to God, remember His faithfulness, and respond in kind.

From Galatians 5:26. In our passage today, we see that growth in the Holy Spirit should not lead us to a sense of self-superiority, but to humility and gratitude that prompts us to better love one another.

From Galatians 5:25. If you know Christ, you are filled with the Spirit. In this passage, we see that the will of God for you would be to walk by the Spirit, and pursue the work of the Spirit as you seek to live in this world.

From John 14:1-14. As we wrap up our annual emphasis “Redeemer on Mission”, we spend time in John 14 and we see that this is a passage of encouragement. In particular, we see that carrying on the mission of God does in fact, require courage.

From Acts 6:26-40. In this passage, we see that the Holy Spirit is empowering the Church (both individually and together) to cross boundaries in order to use God’s word to proclaim the Gospel.

From Romans 10:12-17. In this passage, Paul advocates for universal accessibility of salvation through faith in Jesus and the importance of proclaiming the gospel for people to hear and respond.

Acts 1:6-11. In this passage, we see that God’s plan for the world is to use His church to testify about Jesus. When we live as witnesses who tell others about what Jesus has done for us, we call that Mission. That’s our calling.

Galatians 5:22-24. In this passage, we see that it would be God’s will for his people to put off the works of the flesh and to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:19-21. In this passage, Paul is lovingly exhorting these Galatian Christians to be faithful and enjoy salvation. We should not be deceived to settle for a fleshly life style.

Galatians 5:16-18. In this passage, we see an exhortation, as the people of God, to learn to walk by the spirit of God and glorify and honor God.

Galatians 5:13-15. In this passage, we see Jesus has given to His people a spiritual freedom from the burden of meticulously keeping the law of Moses to earn God’s favor and earn God’s blessing.

From 1 Corinthians 15:35-58. In this passage, we see that Jesus rose from the dead and He shares the benefits of his resurrection with his people. If this is true, what does that mean for us?

From 1 Corinthians 15:12-34. This passage helps us see that the resurrection of Jesus Christ has real consequences for us and for the world. Either Jesus died and rose again, defeating death, and validating all He said, or He died, is dead, and is a liar. There is no neutral ground on which to stand.

From 1 Corinthians 15:1-11. From this passage we see that our message and God’s desire for us are really simple. Jesus came, lived, died, and rose again to bring life everlasting to His people. God’s first desire for us is that we cling to that message.

From Matthew 11:25-30. As we conclude our study in Matthew, this passage reminds us that Jesus is the good and faithful son of God who has redeemed the world. He offers an invitation to the world to come to Him and experience the benefits of what He has done for us.

From Matthew 28:16-20. This passage teaches us how Jesus sent out the ones that are to fulfill the Great Commission. He tells the disciples that He has authority everywhere, to go everywhere to build the Kingdom, and that He will be with them everywhere and always.

From Matthew 28:1-15. This passage tells us that Jesus Christ has defeated sin and death and He is alive! Jesus reigns over all things and is able to bring life, hope, help, and peace to all people because He is alive!

From Matthew 27:32-66. This passage is all about Jesus’ death. The blood of Christ was poured out to bring eternal salvation to sinful people. Our call is to turn to Him. As Christ died, He was undoing the curse of death that broke the world. Jesus lived, died, and rose again to show that he is Lord over all things.

From Matthew 27:15-31. In this passage, we see that Jesus is going to be condemned not because of any crime he has committed, but rather for the truthful declaration of “I am the Christ”. This passage will end with Jesus walking towards his own crucifixion, and that is ultimately good for us and good for God’s plan of redemption.
