Dawson’s success has culminated with opening his own brokerage, Providence Hill Real Estate, alongside partners Caleb Boyer and Elliott Gravitt in 2021. As of January 2021, the firm has 16 agents and three employees.

When Dane Work began selling real estate professionally in 1999, he had already been engaged in the business as an investor for the better part of a decade. His investing experience was the perfect preamble for a successful real estate career.

Jenn McMurdy, who owns Capitol Home Inspections (CHI) with her husband Ray, can attest to how much the real estate industry is unlike much of what is on HGTV. “People only see the illusion of the iceberg of success,” Jenn says. “It was not something I wanted to be doing. My experience in retail didn’t translate into outside sales,” Morgane says. “I wound up trying to sell a copier to the now-owner of Legacy Settlements, Michael Ruder. At the time, he was a title agent at Masters Title. I didn’t end up selling him a copier… He wound up recruiting me to work at Masters.”
