Reach Church

In our final dive into the book of Acts, we see the sovereignty of God, the faithfulness of Paul, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the continual spread of the Gospel…all the way to Rome. The big question: what do we do now? The big answer: go deeper, spread wider.

Paul’s final instructions to church leaders and friends he’ll never see again are a simple and potent blueprint for us to reflect on living the life of a disciple of Jesus.

When Paul finally makes it to Ephesus, God has prepared everything for transformation to sweep across the province. Sometimes what seems like God’s “no” is actually him saying “Yes, but not yet."

In Corinth, Paul makes new friends, makes new disciples, and receives an encouraging vision from Jesus himself. What does it all mean for us? We don't have to be afraid...because God is with us.

While in Athens, which is similar to Seattle in many ways, Paul shows us what it looks like to engage, serve, and love a city engulfed in idolatry.

The Incarnation is the foremost of God's many declarations that he is committed to us experiencing the power, intimacy, and healing of his presence.

The Incarnation is a model for mission, showing us that Jesus came for those who don't have it all together.

The idea that God would become man is crazy and scandalous, but also true and foundational to the entirety of our faith.

Paul and Silas are accused of “turning the world upside down.” Can the gospel empower followers of Jesus to really live that way?

Paul and his friends encounter three people who need God’s grace. Can the gospel really change them? Can it change us?

Feel like all the doors are slamming shut? Keep praying, keep grinding, don't give up.

In answering this question, the scriptures reveal the heart of our Father, who isn’t out to steal from us, but rather to protect us from the things that are doing just that.

Jesus teaches that our hearts are found where we keep our treasure. Here’s the question: is money what we worship, or how we worship?

Before we can live sent, we've got to be clear about who we are and what we have to say. Our message is grace.

As Paul completes his journey, his primary goal becomes all the more clear; equipping believers for life and leadership in the Kingdom. This is not only Paul's heartbeat, but also the heartbeat of Reach.

Identifying, destroying, and replacing the idols we worship instead of Jesus should be central in the life of our church family...and joyfully so.

For some of us, the call to mission is “Will you go?” For most of us, it’s “Will you stay?”

Sharing the good news of Jesus is the primary activity of a missionary. In Antioch Pisidia, Paul delivers a sermon that clarifies the gospel we are to believe and the gospel we are called to carry to others.

The Holy Spirit sends Paul and Barnabas on the first missionary journey. Like many of us, they're still rookies just learning to tell others about Jesus.
