A private security company operating at Clifton's Fourth Beach in Cape Town has raised the ire of beach-goers and vendors alike. Beach-goers were allegedly instructed to leave the beach on Sunday evening. The City of Cape Town says the company does not have the power to close beaches or restrict access. Mlamli Maneli reports.

The National Sea Rescue Institute has urged members of the public to swim where there are lifeguards.
