How do you see the world matters. You will either see the world is grinding, endless problems with considerable oppression and unbelievable suffering. Or, you can see all of these things as opportunities to make a change. You have the opportunity to either lead your life out of these endless grinding problems, or not.

i’m always gonna feel like I’m late and rushing for something, and that’s totally fine with me. That is the spice of life and it’s something to actually appreciate.

The name of the game is not hustle, but just keeping busy and keeping active. Remember there is a lot to life and having different moments of doing different things it’s actually quite enjoyable. Focus on just keeping busy rather than grinding it out.

projects and the things that you pursue are always more complicated when you actually do it. Most people assume that things are easy, but just try to do it and see what happens. It’s an interesting activity and you realize it is a lot more complicated than he ever thought.

I encourage you to think about what you’re going to do, but then execute as quick as possible. There’s nothing that is going to kill a project quicker than people thinking about all of the potential problems that you can experience before you even start. I talk about how complicated and difficult most things are in life once you actually start doing it. From the outside it looks like it’s very simple, but when you actually start executing you realize it is a lot more difficult than you’ve ever imagined.

The answer to how to become an effective professor is I don’t know. I don’t think that there’s any secret, and you simply just have to do it overtime.

I talk about how you’re gonna feel when you first start something and you innovate in your life. Remember you’re always gonna feel silly whenever you first start some thing. That feeling will never go away. So don’t worry about how you feel and just simply jump into it.

You will get ghosted in management, and just assume it’s actually gonna happen. there are many reasons why people might disappear from the project, and it’s likely for reasons would never expect. You can’t plan for it, but just assume it’s gonna happen.

We have set foods for certain meals. Enjoy life, and try things a little different some days.

Podcasting has been very therapeutic for me as a researcher, as I spend most my time not talking to anybody throughout the day. Podcasting allows me to speak openly to an audience.

I discuss what the difference is between the economics and strategy. I discuss some defining features of strategy, however I also discuss is really difficult to car route differences between fields. Often we borrow ideas from multiple fields whenever we are creating new science. I also do not want to create distinction between fields as we want to encourage community building.

Know that you can’t do it all yourself. When you get other people to do actions, you almost always have to realize that the quality is not going to be the same degree of what you were expecting. However coming to terms with being able to let go and letting other people do things in your life is an important skill that you learn as you get older.

I did not understand watching professional sports and dedicating a significant portion of my life to understanding professional sports. It’s never been something that I’ve done, and I just don’t understand the entire infrastructure behind professional sports.

When you feel behind, remember most likely you are exactly where you should be. Look at the real numbers, and see what the real numbers actually say.

Despite having some major problems in the world that we need to solve, we need to recognize that there’s a tremendous amount of human potential and we should be optimistic about the future.

you simply have to sit down and say that you’re gonna do it, and actually carry through and actually do it. There’s no magic just a matter of dedicating your time and effort.

don’t underestimate the power of encouragement and recognition as a manager. It goes a lot further than you ever think it will.
