The Ancient Trail or the Ancient Takin Trail is one of the shortest and most beautiful trails in Thimphu, the trail starts from upper Motithang and eventually ends near the Takin enclosure gate.

This is our first, recorded during a short trek to a monastery within the valley of Thimpu, our new house for the next few years. With us was our cat Ray that was welcomed into the temple.
