Redemption is why Jesus came. To redeem. To buy us back. But to buy us back from what? Ourselves.

God Created mankind in His image. But our first parents failed to trust Him. How do we see God? Do we see Him as a boss who must be obeyed or He will punish us? Or do we see Him as a loving Father that we can always trust?

The story of the Bible is: Creation, Fall, Redemption. To understand why we are the way we are, and why the world is the way it is. We have to begin at the beginning, at the Genesis, with The God who creates.

Calling is a beautiful thing, but sometimes God calls us into darkness or confusion because He is doing a special work in our hearts. In Acts 16, God calls Paul into prison. Paul not only worships God in the dark place of his calling, he also shows us how.

When it comes to deciding our futures, we have to remember that God is already speaking to us through how He made us. What inspires us, what bores us, what interests us: these are all signs of what God may be calling us to. We learn this from Moses' life in week one of Calling.

James dedicates almost an entire chapter in his letter to the power of words. Words seem small, but they have the ability to do big things. Awesome big things, or terrible.

Our words are powerful tools that can build or destroy. Every part of human existence is caused by or surrounded by words. Join us as we spend time in James chapter 3 and Psalm 86 talking about...talking!

Is it faith alone that save us? What about our works? Does what we do matter, or is it more about what we believe? James shows us that these two things are not separate. In fact the only true kind of faith, is a faith that works.

In the second half of James chapter 1 James leans in to the difference between true and false religion. True Christianity changes our hearts. False Christianity leaves us just like we were.
