In Galatians 2, Paul continues to defend his reputation as an apostle. More than that, he defends the Gospel that he is preaching. He reminds us to love our neighbor, and to make sure our change is from the inside out.

In Revelation 3:1-6 Jesus speaks to the dead church in the city of Sardis. He reminds them that only He can bring peace, restoration, and life to a dead city and a dead soul.

Galatians 1 has a lot of twists and turns. Before we get into chapter 2, Frank Murphy is coming back to review the first chapter and cover anything we might have missed!

Paul tells his story. He does this to defend his reputation to the Galatians. In doing so, he shows us 2 important things: That meeting Jesus Christ is what saves us, and that personal stories are powerful in converting other people.

In the second part of his introduction...there is no introduction. Paul gets right to business and he is angry. But why is he so angry? If Paul looked at the state of the Church in America today, would he be thankful that we are not like the Galatians, or are we also missing the point?

Galatians is a book about belief. What exactly did Jesus come to do? How does it apply to us today? Why did some people hear the message with so much joy, and other with so much hatred?

In chapter 4 of Ruth we meet a new character, but we never learn his name! This is a big point as this person is used by the author to teach us something about what we value, and how sometimes God has to help us let go, so that we can have something much better: Himself.

In order to get Boaz to acts as Kinsman Redeemer, Naomi sets out a plan. This plan depends totally on Boaz and Ruth being willing to make big sacrifices, and ultimately, on God's grace.

Graduates are facing a very strange road ahead. New challenges, new rules, new unknowns. But the love that God has for us is the same. His love is not only constant, but it powerfully guides our life. Disease and confusion will never have the last word.

We take a break in our story of Ruth to focus on a key theme of the book: The Kinsman Redeemer. He was someone who would rescue those in danger, and would even sacrifice himself to do it. Now who does that sound like?

God is quick to welcome back those who need Him. Ruth goes out to get food for Naomi. What she find is beyond her wildest dreams.

As Ruth is about to meet Boaz, we see God's hand at work. There is no such thing as chance meeting or coincidence. God is working all things at all times for our good and His glory.

The story of Ruth is a beautiful little book, full of life, death, joy, sadness, and hope. This hope is in God's goodness and faithfulness even in the strangest or darkest of times.

Rest is something that is so important to us physically, but its actually even more important spiritually. But when was the last time you heard a sermon about sleep?

We always think of Zaccheus as the short man who climbed a tree. But when we do this, we are focusing on the outside of the story instead of the inside. And that is Luke's whole point.

Storms in our lives are real and scary. But Mark shows us that Jesus loves us in all things. Even in the scary. God's love for us is deeper than the biggest ocean, stronger than the fiercest wind. This story is full of hope and comfort, found only in Jesus.

In these strange and stressful times, God is still on His throne. While we wait and serve Jesus, there are ways we can continue to spread His life and light to a panicked world.

In the final sermon of our Renewed Series we learn how being a Christian changes every relationship of our lives. From friends, to enemies, Christ has drastically altered how we treat and care for other people inside and outside the Church.

When speaking of Spiritual Gifts Paul reminds us that the Church is one body. We are meant to depend on each other.. This is impossible when we think too highly of ourselves. As we depend on each other, we also work to learn more about how the Lord made us, and what Spiritual Gifts He has blessed us with to help each other in The Body of Christ.

Our theme for Collide 2020 is Renewed. This is the story of Romans 12. When we follow Jesus, it doesn't just change our behavior, it changes our very nature. Romans 12:1-2 starts this conversation.
