PS You're Wrong: A Pop Culture Podcast

After an editorial note from Shelby regarding Taylor Swift's wedding, she and Matt are here to discuss their top ten movies of the year so far. Will Sheep Detectives and The Bride make the cut? You'll have to listen to find out. 

Matt and Shelby have broken with tradition and are bringing you a Pop Culture Roundup that is solely about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Madison Square Garden wedding. We could talk about this for 500 hours (and quite possibly will), but these are our initial thoughts. 

Due to scheduling conflicts (aka Matt was getting drunk near a red sun and Shelby was stranded and trying to connect to the internet through a potty training device), Matt and Shelby are doubling up to discuss Toy Story 5 and Supergirl. Did we need either of these movies? Let's discuss. 

Shelby and Matt break down Steven Spielberg's latest alien flick, Disclosure Day. Was Emily Blunt's performance good? Did the ending make sense? Why was Colman Domingo building a house? These questions and more will be answered if you just listen. 

After five wonderful seasons, Hacks has finally aired its last episode. Matt and Shelby are here to unpack the final season, the final episode, and the state of television in general. Matt will, of course, also discuss having cancer again, which is his favorite topic to talk about. 

From Taylor Swift's new Toy Story song to the Summer House reunion, Matt and Shelby are breaking down the latest current events before pivoting to Matt's impassioned plea for more people to watch For All Mankind. 

"I love unions. I'd love to be a part of one some day." - Shelby and Matt talking about the power of collective action AND high fashion as they discuss Boots Riley's new maximasocialist movie starring everyone who's anyone. So get in losers, we're going microlooting. 

After cracking a One Wish Willow and wishing for Matt to be her podcast co-host forever, Shelby is back this week for the 335th episode that Matt is recording against his will trapped in his body. They will be discussing Obsession. 

Shelby and Matt are baaaaaaaaaaaack to investigate the sheep, the townspeople, and the American accents in The Sheep Detectives. 

Matt (the Andy of the podcast) and Shelby (the Emily of the podcast) are back to discuss The Devil Wears Prada 2, along with the state of journalism, Andy's new boyfriend, and Jeff Bezos.

Is Taylor Swift writing a song for Toy Story? Is Beyonce going to release Act III at the Met Gala? What will happen with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's trial? Some of these questions have since been answered, but only after we pondered about them.

The Year of Anne Hathaway has begun, and we're starting out by discussing her pop star thriller Mother Mary. Shelby and Matt break down the dress barn, the concert choreo, and of course, the ending. 

For a record-breaking second week in a row, Matt & Shelby are back to discuss the latest pop culture gossip, including the leaked recording of the  Summer House reunion and Harry Styles' supposed engagement to Zoe Kravitz. Plus, the pair breaks down Michael and Apex. 

Matt & Shelby are here to save the rom-com via pointing out the good, the bad, and the Italian portions of You, Me & Tuscany. 

From Alex Cooper vs. Alix Earle to Taylor Swift's upcoming wedding, Matt and Shelby break down all the latest news. Plus, they discuss Hacks and The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins for their Love It or Hate Its. 

Shelby's back from vacation and ready to discuss the marital woes of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in The Drama with Matt. Did they like the twist? Did they like the ending? Did they like Alana Haim's acting? All answers are revealed. 

With no solid films heading to theaters this week, Matt and Shelby braved the world of Netflix releases, dragging themselves through the time-travel mobster movie  Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice.  Was it good? No. How bad was it? Listen to find out. 

Shelby and Matt are back to discuss Ryan Gosling's new film Project Hail Mary. Together, the pair discusses whether this is a kid's movie, how amnesia works, and why Sandra Huller deserves an Oscar nomination for this role.

Back for their eighth year in a row, Matt and Shelby are ranking every single movie they saw in 2025 from Oscar darlings to box office bombs. What will claim the coveted top spot and will it be Ella McCay? 

Shelby and Matt (chained to the fireplace) are back to discuss/bark about the new Wuthering Heights adaptation from Emerald Fennell. Is it a good adaptation? No. But is it fun? Also no. But does it have an interesting point of view? No, again. BUT is it memorable? We shall see, but probably not. Did Shelby like it, though? Yes. 

Shelby and Matt are using all their best pop girl knowledge to unpack Charli XCX's new film The Moment (which may or may not be about Taylor Swift). There's plenty to unpack, including the cameos, the fans, and Charli's career post-Brat. 

Matt and Shelby revel in Sam Raimi's latest horror comedy, Send Help. If these two got stuck on a desert island it would probably go something like this anyways.

Since there weren't any great new releases playing in theaters this week, Matt and Shelby turned their attention to the 2026 Oscar nominations. The pair unpack the snubs and surprises catagory by catagory.
