Prayer is relational. Jesus tells us that when we pray, how we view God is of utmost importance. As a good Father, God is willing and capable of answering prayer.

We look at why the coming of Jesus brings us a kind of rest the world can never give us.

In Luke 2, Luke tells us the greatest love story ever told, the story of God's love ultimately revealed to us in the Incarnation of His Son.

Mary responds to God's message and Elizabeth's encouragement with the first Christmas Carol. Mary gives us a pattern to follow as we worship God.

When we make Christ’s coming a passive event in our lives, we miss out on an opportunity for joyful surrender. Christ’s coming actively invites us not just to celebrate, but to surrender to His will with Mary-like faith.

After 400 years of silence, God sends an angel to Zechariah and Elizabeth to put into motion a series of events that would change the course of history forever. As we consider Luke 1 this advent season, they show us how we can hope in God by considering His faithfulness towards us, despite our imperfection. Ultimately, Jesus has taken away our reproach and gives us confidence in his second advent.

As we prepare for the Advent season we look at the Biblical story as it sits in a consistent tension of promise and waiting. Waiting in life is not outside of God’s plan, waiting is designed to increase our dependence on Him.

When we focus on the doctrine of Christ's return we are able to navigate the broken world we live in with comfort and hope. As we seek to understand the details of Christ's return it gives us the power for comfort and hope.

We can't live the Christian life in isolation. One of the main reasons God created the church is for us to follow Jesus with others. This comes with sacrifices and benefits. Only the Gospel can help us live in true Biblical community with others in the church.

The Holy Spirit is one of the most mysterious doctrines of our faith. It is important to know what the Bible has to say about the Holy Spirit, so we can experience joy and the empowerment He brings us.

Today, we celebrate the way God has changed the lives of 15 people through their confessions of faith and baptisms!

In this passage Paul encourages the church in Rome by teaching through the order of salvation. He wants to encourage the church in light of their weaknesses and the troubles that surround them in a fallen world. We can receive the same encouragement from the order of salvation as well.

Baptism and Communion are the two ordinances or sacraments commanded by Christ to be done in the context of the church. In this sermon we focus on baptism and how it communicates deep spiritual truth.

For our salvation to become a reality Jesus had to be fully God and fully man. In this sermon, we discover why this doctrine is crucial to our faith.

The degree that we understand sin is the degree we will know God’s grace found in Jesus. In this sermon, we look at the doctrine of sin in hopes that it will magnify God's grace and mercy all the more.

Understanding and knowing Theology doesn’t necessarily lead directly to maturity, but it does create a larger capacity to know, love, and obey God. In this intro to our new series on Christian Theology we look what theology is and why we should care about it.

What we remember is crucial for knowing God and living the Christian life. The kind of things we remember can lead us to God or away from Him. In this Psalm we are given clarity on what we should remember and what we should forget.

Psalm 110 gives us a picture of our better King-Priest. Jesus is out enthroned King and our eternal Priest. He sits on His throne and represents his people to God. Psalm 110 welcomes us in to see Him and worship Him!

We open up Psalm 133 (one of the Psalms of Ascent) to see what the people of God were singing towards the end of their pilgrimage. It is a short and beautiful Psalm about how unity amongst God’s people will bring glory to God to the uttermost parts of the earth – and somehow that involves beard oil and mountain dew!

Psalm 19 reveals to us what we can know about God: first in creation, and second through His revealed Word to us. Like David, we can respond rightly in worship by repenting from the sins within us that we see and asking God for help to see the sins within us that we don't yet see.

In Psalm 86, David asks God to give him an "undivided heart", which is something all believers desire as they pursue God's will and way. While we have many things working against this desire, there are also a few simple practices that can keep us grounded in the truth.
