This week, Brett and Kyle are joined by the Edmunds.com Director of Editorial Content Steven Ewing. They talk about Steve’s first German car that he’s ever owned as well as some of the unbelievably rare Mercedes he drove recently in Monterey.

BMW is an important brand to enthusiasts and has been for decades, which is why Seyth, Brett, and Kyle are determined to pick their greatest hits at three price points. This includes an affordable first car, a mid-priced “vintage” daily, and a no-limit concourse queen.

On the ninth episode of the CARiD Drive Project [S]Cars podcast, Seyth and Brett build a pair of cheap, overlanding-ready off-roaders. Brett’s pick is a 1992 Isuzu Trooper, while Seyth chooses a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. There is some talk of a all-over rattle can bedliner paint job that we're not proud of.
