PORTICO Community Church

Jesus reveals God’s relentless love for those who are lost, His joy when they return to Him, and His invitation for us to share that same compassion and joy.

God entrusts us with earthly resources to generously care for others in ways that reflect our faith and carry eternal significance.

God’s Kingdom is an open invitation for everyone, but we must recognize the honour of being invited and choose to respond.

Life in God’s Kingdom is demonstrated by growing in our capacity to love others through compassion, sacrifice, and action.

Jesus calls us to focus on faithfully sowing God’s Word rather than judging the harvest that belongs to Him.

Jesus used parables to reveal the deeper truths of God’s Kingdom to those willing to listen, while challenging us to pursue greater understanding with open hearts and ears.

The New Kingdom doesn't use power to dominate; it uses love to elevate. Christians are called to navigate cultural structures with Christlike humility, demanding equality for the vulnerable and mutual respect for all.

We are called to grow in Christ, pursue holiness, and live out our identity in Him so that others will see His goodness through our lives.

We have an eternal hope in Christ, and through every trial, we can trust Him as we look forward to the salvation He has promised.

The pursuit of wisdom leads us to fear God, obey His commands, and faithfully follow Him throughout every stage of life..

This week we learn that true wisdom is found in humble hearts rather than positions of power, and it grows through the consistent choices we make each day to listen to God and walk in His ways.

This week we learn that true wisdom values what lasts, embraces both joy and sorrow with humility, and trusts God even when life cannot be fully understood.

This week we learn that when we understand God’s wise perspective, we begin to see the futility of the human pattern of living - a trap that even those with access to godly wisdom fall into.

This week we are reminded that God’s Kingdom is already at work among us and within those who follow Jesus.

This week, we learn that Jesus sends His followers to share God’s peace, care for people, and tell everyone that the Kingdom of God is near. Jesus wants us to go out with compassion, trust Him completely, and share the Good News wherever we go.

Portico’s mission is lived out through active faith, compassionate discipleship, and the use of our God-given gifts to help people encounter Jesus, grow in Him, and find their way back to God.

This week, we are reminded that true faith is not built on knowledge alone, but through experiencing the power, love, and presence of Jesus, who empowers every believer through the Holy Spirit to boldly share the Gospel and serve others with compassion and faith.

This week we learn that God transforms loss into restoration, redeeming beyond expectations and weaving our small acts of obedience into a greater story that leads from bitterness to lasting praise.

This week we learn that God’s heart is revealed through His laws, calling us to live with intentional generosity, justice, and compassion that goes beyond what is required.

This message explores the story of Ruth, highlighting how true faith often requires commitment before clarity. Through Ruth’s decision to follow Naomi into the unknown, it shows that God’s redemption works through obedience, trust, and surrender—not guarantees. We are challenged to step out in faith, embracing relationship, community, and covenant with God even when the outcome is uncertain.

God can redeem our worst decisions when we turn back to Him. This week, we learn that even when we make wrong choices, turning back to God shows that He is greater than our failures and can lead us to redemption.

God rescues us from our old life and, by His mercy, gives us new life through the Holy Spirit with the promise of eternal life. Because Jesus has made us new, baptism is our public step into that new life with Him. This moment is more than a symbol; it’s a declaration of transformation, faith, and a fresh beginning. A step of obedience, a step of identity, and the start of walking fully with Him.
