Poplar Ridge Christian Church

On Sunday we discussed how we can't be perfect. We always believe the lie from Satan where he says we must be perfect all the time. But Jesus, who is perfect, offers us grace when we fail.

We finished our series talking about how Jesus sends out the twelve. He sends us out boldly!

This week we looked at the lie, "You have no purpose" and discussed what God says about us. He gives us all a purpose because He created us all to be unique.

We don't have to do this alone. God has given us all a voice and He wants us to do it together.

We kicked off a new series called Lies Satan Tells. We forget sometimes that we are being attacked and that we have to go on the offense. He is looking for ways to make us lose focus but we must stay focused on God.

Jesus asks Peter if he loves Him after Peter had denied Jesus 3 times. Even though he denied Jesus, He still welcomed him back. Jesus does that for us. But if we truly love Him, then we must also answer the question, "Then how will people know?"

Today we look at John 20:15 as Mary is standing at the tomb where Jesus no longer was.

Today we look at the moment on the cross where Jesus asks the question, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"

When sin brings death, Jesus brings life!

Today we look at John 13 where Jesus washes the feet of his disciples.

As we continue the Questions Jesus Asked series we dive into John 11 where Jesus asks, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight?" He calls us to go to work. He tells us to not waste our life.

This week we look at the story of the woman who committed adultery in John 8!

This week we look at John 6 where Jesus asks, "Does this offend you?" Take a listen!

This week we look at Jesus asking the paralyzed man if he wants to get well.

This week we looked in John 3 where Jesus asked Nicodemus "do you not understand?" We all must believe and be born again.

This week we started our series through the book of John called Questions Jesus Asked. We kicked it off with Jesus asking "What do you want?" What are we truly seeking? Are you looking for a savior?

Today we talked about how to disciple our neighbors. We must 1. Be with Jesus. 2. Become like Him. 3. Do as He did. And as we go about our life we must invite other to follow the way of Jesus.

Today we've talked about how we need to love and serve our neighbor!

" 1 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.  2  Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." - Hebrews 13:1-2 When we think of our neighbors we must look at how we can become good neighbors! We are called to "keep on" loving our Christian community but to "not forget" the...

We must be intentional with our neighbors! If we want to have good neighbors then we must start by looking inward.
