Pop Cult

This week we’re rounding out one of the most diabolical shows we’ve ever watched. It’s too bad that some of the men from The Ultimatum are back on the market. BEWARE! In The City reunion is giving a bit low budget but we have to say a certain someone did bring her best this time around. We truly cannot wait to have The Valley off of our roster. This is officially the longest show in the history of...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files Another quick little episode this week covering a few former Disney stars who now word in the real world right alongside the rest of us. A noble path if we do say so ourselves. We discuss what just happened to be mostly supporting characters from our favorite shows and movies like Lizzie McGuire, Wizards of Waverly Place and more.  The Fame Files is part of Pop...

All good things must come to an end and in this case that’s Love Island. But where one toxic show makes its exit, another makes its entrance in the form of The Ultimatum. This show has a knack for producing some of the worst men we’ve ever seen. Speaking of the worst, we’re feeling similarly about the In The City finale. I believe the word we both used was LAME. Let’s just hope the reunion makes u...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files This week is a quick little episode recapping the internet breaking feud between the internet’s favorite blondes, Alex Cooper and Alix Earl. We break down their history together and what happened after everyone caught on to some potential tension between this dynamic duo. We’ll talk about the very unsatisfying ending and talk through some of our own theories on...

This week we are laying a couple of shows to rest. Until next summer, Love Island. It’s been real and we couldn’t be more thrilled for Byrce and Trinity. Plus, we share our predictions on who is going to still be together by the reunion. We’re hesitant about how RHORI is going to move forward considering how many of the women literally HATE each other. We also can’t say we’re sad about a certain c...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files This week we are diving into the very complicated and convoluted situation between Eddie Cibrian, Brandi Glanville, Leann Rimes, and Scheana Shay. You may be asking yourself - how on earth are these people all connected to one another. We’re here to clear up the matter for you. The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where we unpack pop culture’s biggest stories, sc...

We’ve officially said good riddance to Summer House and honestly we’re grateful because it was taking up too much brain space. And we really needed that space to focus on Love Island because it’s a full time job! Although, this week was a bad look for A LOT of the cast. But we could certainly say the same for The Valley cast as well. We fear this show is working its way towards the chopping block...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files This week we are breaking down the extremely lengthy…situation, if you will, between former royals, Harry and Meghan and the institution that is the British Royal Family. And boyyyyy is there a lot to discuss. We are getting into all of the details about why they left, how it was possible, what it means now and of course, the drama that it stirred up. And one th...

When one show ends another one always seems to pop up in its place. DCC season 3 did NOT disappoint and we were SAT for all the tea and of course Judy and Kelly’s cutthroat behavior. We were happy to see the RHORI women end their season on a good note….although we don’t anticipate it staying that way. We’re grateful to Casa Amor for making its appearance as Love Island was feeling more like Snooze...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files This is a bit of a solemn episode but we hope it’s at least fascinating and enlightening. One of the most seemingly carefree celebrities out there has a much darker past than most people even realize - to no fault of her own. We are diving into Paris Hilton’s experience in the Troubled Teen Industry when she was a teenager and we’ll break down how these places s...

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the Below Deck Med crew back onto our screens. It’s like they never left! We continue to debrief a very mid season of Love Island and we of course discuss who is in our mental jails this week and who walks free…..for now. Sadly, we say goodbye to the best (only?) palette cleanser show we’ve ever had, courtesy to our Farmers. We are genuinely happy for them an...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files Our first ever celebrity deep dive on a man is starting off strong with the man who always has a strong woman by his side: Jason Oppenheim. One of the brilliant minds behind one of the best reality shows of our time, Selling Sunset. He’s quite the enigma as a reality TV star but a very fascinating background lurks behind his stoic presence on the show. We are ha...

We’re coming in hot with a new show this week. It’s officially Love Island season and we’re having mixed feelings so far. We’re sad to say that Below Deck Down Under is finally over but we won’t be sad for long because we’ll be picking up Med again next week. In VERY sad news, we only have one week left to watch our fav farmers find love and we’re on the hunt for more shows like this. Open to sugg...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files Today we’re diving into the MANY scandals that have followed tv and movie producer Randall Emmett. From his humble beginnings as Mark Wahlberg's assistant, to making some of the worst action movies literally ever, to stepping into the limelight on a Bravo show - he has been nothing short of diabolical every step of the way. The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult...

We’re baaaaaaack and boy did we miss chit chatting about our fav shows??!!! We have a new show on the docket which is no doubt going to be FIRE because of everything going down between the Summer House cast, and In The City is off to a great start. Mother Hubbard continues to be everything to us. On the contrary, the entire cast of The Valley seems to be fighting for their lives to create storylin...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files With some striking similarities to our favorite boy band, Fifth Harmony had a VERY tumultuous breakup. We get into all the details, drama, and of course the Instagram statements. The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where we unpack pop culture’s biggest stories, scandals, and icons. Join us on Tuesday for our next episode of Reality Digest, where we’ll cover the...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files In our first rendition of “the origin of” we are talking about Industry Plants. What is an industry plant? Are they actually real? Or could they all be industry plants in one way or another? We’re not sure we have the answer but we of course are sharing our opinion and our personal industry plants.  The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where we unpack pop culture...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files In the final part of this rendition of Where Are They Now, we deep dive into the lives of 4 more Bachelor in Paradise couples and what they have been up to since the show. One thing we learned for sure is that this show is, without a doubt, a one-way ticket to the land of influencing. The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where we unpack pop culture’s biggest stor...

This week our favorite farmers are losing women at rapid rates this week and truly are keeping us on our toes - but they’re mostly all on our good side…..for now. On the contrary it’s everything The Valley men can do to keep themselves out of our metaphorical prison cell. Danny, we’re looking at you. Speaking of terrible men, it’s finally been confirmed that Kyle Cooke does in fact have a Napoleon...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files We love a music festival episode around here and we think Fyre Festival might just take the cake…or the cheese sandwich, in this case. At the helm of this story might just be the most notorious scammer of the millennial generation. But don’t tell him we said, his head is big enough as it is.  The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where we unpack pop culture’s bigg...

We’re rejoicing at Summer House nearing its daunting end as we are exhausting at suspending disbelief EVERY EPISODE!!!!! Either the editors really do know what they’re doing or we’re just trying to see the best in these ppl……unlike Lindsay and Ciara whilst giving Loverboy’s esteemed CEO the third degree in front of everyone - including the poor, unsuspecting private chef. Speaking of chefs, Ellie...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files While these two always seemed like an unlikely pair, it also appeared to be a match made in celebrity heaven. We saw them wed on our TVs and we saw that marriage breakdown via Instagram and Twitter. The main lesson we learned from this one is that Kim honestly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize after everything he put her through.  The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult...

Our 3 favorite farmers have definitely caught our attention and left us to ponder if we could live the off-grid life…..we’re thinking no but never say never. After all, nothing is impossible considering the state of the Summer House cast at the moment. Despite all that though, in the context of the season we feel the Wescamanda is overshadowing how shady a certain Australian and his gf (that appea...

Welcome to Pop Cult: The Fame Files Not our most uplifting episode this week but we learned a lot unpacking Anna Nicole Smith’s bubbly personality that unfortunately was taken from her too soon. As per usual, there’s a lot of questionable characters in her circle that we were side-eyeing the entire time. Nonetheless, she truly did seem like human sunshine. The Fame Files is part of Pop Cult, where...

This week we’re introducing what may be our most unique show yet - Farmer Wants a Wife. We’re not quite sure what to make of it yet but we do know we’re skeptical of rural Illinois. We’re also skeptical of about half of The Valley cast and most notably Brittany’s new man. Speaking of men (or should we say boys) Mike has remained on our sh*tlist the entire charter season and maintains his position...
