We need to allow the next generation to lead the way they feel God calling. COVID showed small churches more than ever the importance of young leaders. We can’t just disciple young leaders we have to release them and allow them to do ministry the way God is leading them. Which I realize can be scary at times. We don’t like change.

Having spiritual wisdom is something you can never get too much of. Proverbs 9:9 says “Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.” This is saying there is always more to learn and we should remain teachable and continually learn more throughout our lives.

My last teaching from the first portion of this chapter 1 was Paul talking about the division that was happening in the church over who they were following. Some said I follow Paul, I am of Apollos, I am of Cephas, and I am of Christ. They were all choosing sides when it should always be about Jesus and His Word and not just their celebrity speaker.

God calls us to be imitators of him, and have a childlikeness. A childlike faith and wonder. We need to remain child-like because Children don't ever dream of being insignificant, but somewhere along the way people lose that because of disappointment or hurt, and God wants to give that back to you.

Jesus combines loving God and loving people.  In doing so, He summed up the Ten Commandments: the first four are about our relationship with God and the last six are about our relationships with people.
