Podcasting in Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club

Our teen boys win the basketball championship. We haven't had a winning basketball team at Coudert Clubhouse in so many years. Congrats to the teens and in this podcast I have three members of the winning team. We had a lot of fun doing it.

These young girls haven't done a podcast because they only speak spanish. Not a problem hit the SAP button on the podcast and lets do a spanish podcast. In this podcast we talk about the beautiful beaches of Santo Domingo.

It's always good to have new members do a podcast at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. Our Teem Night Program is growing and we are even getting more young ladies in the building on a nightly basis. These 2 young ladies asked to do a podcast with me so here it is. Please enjoy and share.

I'm on a road trip to one of our other sites at PS. 138 where we have Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club After School. I spent over 3 hours speaking to our members and coming up with some podcast topics.

Today we have our guests from NYC Smoke Free and NYCHA at our clubhouse to speak to our teen members about the importance of not smoking and vaping. The panel then opens up for Q&A.

It's time to start the new year with some changes. We should always want to improve as people and better ourselves. Any positive change is great. Shoot for the stars, start a new business, learn a new sport, and read more books. Let's change for the better.

It's the holiday season and everyone is looking forward to gift-giving and opening some gifts. These are some of our Kips Bay Boys & Girls Clubs member's top 5 list of must-haves for the holiday season.

Podcast take over part 2! Today we talk about makeup with the girls at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. I can't believe these girls are 10 years old and they do all of this every day. Too much goes into looks. I prefer natural beauty.

Podcast takeover! Isabella talks fashion with the boys also known as The Spicy Boys. Even at this young age, the members at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Clubs have some form of fashion. They try with the sneakers and major fashion labels. Isabella gives them a run for their money.

Season 8 we are starting off strong with Teens in the building early in the year. This gives us a chance to jump right into some very important conversations like we always do in Brent's Club. In todays episode we start telling some stories that we have about drugs and how it has effected us and our families.

Let's get right to it, what are some of your career goals? What do you want to be when you grow up? What kind of career not a job are you aiming for in your life.?

We all dream about our future jobs. I'm sure a few of these jobs are on your list too. I wanted to be an architect what about you?

At some time in our lives, we walked into the doors of the clubhouse. For some of us, it was for after-school or summer camp, and for others, it was for work. We will share how we felt the very first time we walked into Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

It's never too early to start planning for the future. These middle school students have a great chance to go to one of many specialty high schools just by taking a placement test. Getting into one of NYC's specialty high schools can boost the chances of going to college.

We all fear something in our life. This podcast is to talk about them and try to overcome them. Some fears are things we carry with ourselves for the rest of our lives.

Our members just don't listen at times but the funny thing is that they know why they do it. In this podcast we get deep into a conversation about why they should listen to the staff, teachers and parents.

Welcome Justin to the Coudert Clubhouse. Justin is not new to Kips Bay Family, he was a staff member at our Lucile Palmaro Clubehouse.

While I work on some changes to the studio I will add this new podcast as a bonus to our last season. Like always the members took control of the podcast and started praising their teachers I couldn't stop them.

***BONUS*** I finally have the chance to get the dancers from Gift Of Grace to come do a podcast. It's only been hard because they are alway rehearsing for a performance of just to perfect it. Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club is well known for their dance crew.

Summer Camp has started for 2023. I am energized with the new and old members that are with us this year. Sometimes the topics get heavy but we deal with it all. The members deserve a voice and I'm here to help them with that. We try and learn and have some fun with a very serious topic like drugs.
