Friends, we've gone back...way back...back into time! Right to the start of the second season of Classic Who and the story Planet of Giants! This is a story famous for the fact that the powers that be actually recognized that a four-parter really worked better as three parts. Not only that, it has some absolutely fantastic set pieces and oversized props! Team TARDIS has to figure out how to get ba...

Friends we are back in some Classic Who and what a wonderfully comfortable blanket it is! However, The Monster of Peladon (Pertwee's Penultimate Story) is a six-panel blanket that could have easily been a more snug four! Full of political intrigue, greed, and a dash of women's lib thanks to the ever-awesome Sarah Jane this story feels quite chaotic at times but gives us quite the adventure leading...

Friends! We are back! Thank you for waiting an extra week and change so Taylor could go guest star on Stitches in Time (look for that late October, early November) and now we're ready to review The Infinite Quest...which is not itself infinite, but rather a quest for something called The Infinite! And, for something designed to be 13 little three minute long segments and aired on Totally Doctor Wh...

Friends, after learning about the passing of the great Tom Chadbon, we knew there was only one thing we could really do to pay tribute to the man: revisit City of Death! Yes, the very first classic Who story we reviewed 362 episodes ago!! And, wow, it's still one of our absolute favorites! So join us as we look at this classic with fresh eyes, tons more trivia, and a walk down Podcastica's own mem...

We're back and leaving the letter H off of everything! This time we're reviewing The Crimson Horror in which The Doctor and the gang break up a Victorian Doomsday Cult! We also honor the passing of our Patron Saint by awarding the very bonkers last act of this story with a great Duggan Scale score!

Friends, we're sorry the episode is a bit late this week. Life, sometimes finds a way...of getting in the way. But we are here with our review of The Bells of Saint John in which we wonder how so many people have crappy internet security in 2013 and in which we actually give the episode a surprise ten on the Duggan Scale! A rare feat by any episode, but truly unexpected here!

Friends, it is Christmas in July. No Toyota-thons, no Black Fridays, no Peppermint Mochas, but we do have a grumpy Doctor, a lizard woman from the dawn of time (and her wife), everyone's favorite potato, the second introduction of Clara, a nod to the airship mysteries of the 1890s, and both Richard E. Grant and Ian McKellan! It's clearly time for The Snowmen!

Well, friends, we do talk about The Age of Steel eventually. However, be prepared for us to spend a great deal of this episode talking about the news of Doctor Who's future. How we feel about it, how we hope it returns, maybe even who we'd like to see showrun it. And we also banter ideas about our own show's future.

If Season One of Modern Who saw the return of the Daleks, naturally Season Two had to bring back the Cybermen! But was Rise of the Cybermen really the right way to do it? This time around we look at this alternate universe way to bring back our steely boys, show Mickey the man he could be, keep Rose griefing over her dad, and ask the important question...do Cybermen prefer the poor & downtrodden o...

Are ya ready kids?! Ohhhhh, who lives in the canals under Venice? Cree-py! Big! Fish! This episode we review The Vampires of Venice! The Doctor, fresh off a short stint as cake filling decides to take Amy and Rory on a romantic adventure and what's more romantic than 16th century Venice...where apparently fish people who come across as vampires, but aren't vampires, are terrorizing town. Plus we c...

This time the adventure continues as we look at Flesh and Stone, 2nd part after The Time of Angels last episode. We loved it, we love this era, and frankly it's late and I can't think of what else to say. Enjoy our discussion, friends!

Clutching my pillow tiiiiiight!! These angels, man! They want you to exit light and enter night because then you can't see them creeping up on you. That's right! The Weeping Angels are back, River Song is back, and we are back with a review of the Season 5 episode The Time of Angels!

The Beast Below first aired 16 years and a few days ago! If you listen closely in this episode, you can hear John and Taylor recount how old they were when this episode first aired. It's a teeny bit traumatic. However, it's not as traumatic as zapping the brain of a space whale so that it keeps carrying your entire country (but metal!) around on its back while you all choose to periodically learn...

Back to watching some proper Doctor Who and it feels so good! It's almost like...we're young again! And wow, doesn't Tish Jones look familiar? Yes, friend of the show Mike Solko set us up to watch this episode post-Gally and we didn't realize until now that it was all a Gugu Mbatha-Raw connection! Well, how did we like getting back to some Modern Who and seeing more Mark Gatiss than we could ever...

Well, folks, we made it to the end of the war. And, frankly, we're kinda glad it's over. It's not great. We're not even sure it's good. As always, though, we find the bits we did like, try to make sense of the parts we didn't, and (if nothing else) celebrate the fact that we're getting back to some actual Doctor Who for our next episode!

Well, we're into the penultimate episode of The War Between the Land and the Sea and, really, we're experiencing a bit of an uneven episode. The drama is there, things feel a little hopeless, so let's give the Sea Devils even more superpowers, give Barclay and Salt some really awkward dialogue, and let's make sure Kate Stewart never rests again. We are really hoping that they're able to stick the...

We're back at it after Gallifrey One (and some con crud for Taylor), reviewing episode three of The War Between the Land and the Sea! SPOILER ALERT!! There are some things that happen in this episode that you might not want to know about before actually watching it (or maybe you do, we don't judge). We're also assuming you've watched TWBTLATS if you're listening to this. Because we know it's not j...

GREETINGS WHOVIANS! We are once again at #LobbyCon early in the morning talking about our DAY TWO experiences at Gallifrey One 36! Hope everyone has a wonderful last day at the con!

Hello, Whovians! We are once again LIVE from LobbyCon at the early hours of the morning to give you our recap of DAY ONE of GALLIFREY ONE 36!

HELLO AND GREETINGS FROM GALLIFREY ONE! Join John and Taylor for a short chat from a table in #LobbyCon on Friday morning. They discuss what they're excited to see and do on DAY ONE, and some other nonsense. Everyone have a great Gally, and we'll talk to you tomorrow!

Folks, we're back from our totally legit venture into the future where we watched the 2nd episode of The War Between the Land and the Sea...Plastic Apocalypse!! Overall, we're still enjoying this series, but there were some holes and plot devices this time that really left us scratching our heads. So join us as we figure those out and talk about Gallifrey One which is only about 10 days away now!...

Friends, we have been to the future and back! We can't tell you when The War Between the Land and the Sea will air on Disney+ (or what 2026 looks like at that point), but we can go into detail about the first episode of this five-part series. We'll be honest, we didn't want to like it, but it definitely kept our attention by the end of things!

Well, friends, we have reached our final episode of 2025 and the final installment of the Prisoners of Time comic book adventure! This time we have a fairly flimsy 9th Doctor story that really only seems there to reveal who our villain is. Then we join Ten and Martha in Los Angeles and places John has actually been! And instead of learning if the Frogmen the 11th Doctor is dealing with are the sam...

This time we continue on with Prisoners of Time! Chapters 5 through 8 in which we wonder many things! We wonder why the 5th Doctor appears to be 12 years old. We wonder where this bad ass 6th Doctor has been all our lives. We wonder if it's okay to go absolutely swoon city over a cartoon Ace. And we wonder why McDonalds hasn't brought back Mac Tonight.

Well, here's something new, friends! We're reviewing a comic book Doctor Who story! Well, stories would be more accurate because Prisoners of Time was originally a year-long 12 issue miniseries from IDW to celebrate Doctor Who's 50th anniversary. We read the first four issues (chapters) and talked about what we liked and didn't like.
