《雅舍谈吃》辑录了68篇令人馋涎欲滴的谈吃美文，每一篇文章都包含梁实秋先生对饮食文化的独到见解。辑一“记忆中的味道”收录了《烧鸭》《豆汁儿》《酸梅汤与糖葫芦》等谈论北平地道美食的文章，寄寓了作者浓浓的乡情。辑二“南北食色”、辑三“异域食旅”收录了《狮子头》《醋溜鱼》《佛跳墙》《“麦当劳”》《“啤酒”啤酒》等谈论其他各地美食的文章，写美食，也发掘美食背后的地域色彩。辑四“谈吃偶得”收录了《馋》《吃相》《谈 》等文章，是梁实秋先生“饕餮”生活的心得体会，包含极其浓厚的文化底蕴。
