Paddy and Jo are joined my Mags Kirk to discuss the role of Speech Therapists and the importance of oral motor skills. Mags outlines the different terminology used by different professions and how they link. The episode includes the importance of SALT and PBS practitioners working collaboratively and how this can improve the outcomes for people.  

Mags introduces a 10 year old boy who was referred for support to develop his vocal skills. Mags used TalkTools, task analysis, errorless learning and intensive interaction to develop his oral motor skills. This improved his eating and speech. Mags highlights the importance of considering physical issues anytime a person is referred for services.
