It is vital we have friends in our lives that will do anything in their power to get people to Jesus. And even more importantly, it is essential that we are this type of friend.  facebook.com/PatrickRLewis Lordsbook.com/aguyandhisbible allthingsforHim.pl@gmail.com Amazon Storefront https://amzn.to/4gFUxsO Donate Paypal https://bit.ly/3TMgPRa Venmo / CashApp - PatrickRyanLewis

A Maryland pastor recently delivered a sermon to his 9,000 congregants, asserting that our understanding of premarital sexual relations is misguided and that Scripture has been mistranslated, labeling the practice as sinful. In this episode, Patrick examines the biblical passages cited by the pastor to determine whether his stance is valid. #premaritalsex #twistingScripture #1Corinthians #ApostleP...

The Michael Tait apology is out and I have some views on it that will probably surprise many of you. Firstly, it's essential to acknowledge how the tone of the apology reflects a genuine attempt at understanding and growth. Michael Tait's words seemed carefully chosen to convey sincerity and a willingness to address past mistakes. This is not always easy, especially in the public eye, and...

All ministry leaders need to recognize that transparency in all facets of leadership is essential for fostering trust among both your supporters and the individuals you are serving. Openness in communication, decision-making processes, and financial matters can help build a foundation of credibility. When people feel informed and included, they are more likely to engage and contribute positively t...

It's crucial to remember that our primary focus should be on living a true Bible centered and based life. This often means making difficult decisions, especially when faced with troubling situations involving public figures. While it is natural to want to protect those we look up to, especially when they have inspired us through their work or public persona, it is important to prioritize truth...

Two recent stories underscored the significance of genuine ministry leadership in all aspects of our lives. We must diligently adhere to the four steps of church discipline, as outlined in Matthew 18:15-17. These steps are: 1) Address the sinning believer privately. 2) Gather witnesses. 3) Present the matter to the church. 4) Treat them as outsiders if they remain unrepentant. This process aims to...

It is important for us as Christians to remember as society continues to lose the ability to have actual meaningful conversations face to face, our challenge to spread the Gospel becomes more daunting.

The decisions we make without God's guidance will have a profound impact on all around us

God is not concerned with how we sound when we praise Him in spreading the Gospel, He simply wants us to speak up loudly in His Name.

Jesus intended for his disciples to spread his message and ministry, ultimately conquering the world through the Church. This conquest, though challenging and involving persecution, was certain due to the indestructible truth of Jesus’ identity as the Son of God. The success of this mission depended on the faithfulness of the disciples to reproduce and teach others, emphasizing the importance of l...

Jesus’ ministry strategy involved sending disciples on field assignments, reviewing their experiences, and using these experiences to teach practical lessons. This approach is evident in the disciples’ reports after evangelistic tours, where Jesus celebrated their successes and cautioned against pride. Jesus also used incidents like the disciples’ failed healing attempt and the feeding of the mult...

Jesus gradually prepared his disciples for their mission to spread the Gospel, emphasizing the importance of a vital experience with God before action. He instructed them to prioritize preaching to the lost sheep of Israel, relying on God’s provision and finding supportive individuals in each town. Despite the dangers and opposition they would face, Jesus reassured them of God’s presence and promi...

Jesus taught his disciples the importance of prayer and the Scriptures in maintaining a spiritual life. He demonstrated prayer’s significance through his own actions and later taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus also emphasized the authority of the Scriptures, using them to support his teachings and encourage his disciples to do the same. Jesus taught his disciples how to win souls throu...

Jesus expected his disciples to obey him, not necessarily be smart. Following Jesus meant surrendering one’s life to him in absolute submission, forsaking sin, and conforming to the Kingdom of God. While many initially followed Jesus, only a handful, like Peter, remained committed to him and his teachings, even when they didn’t fully comprehend the message of the cross. Jesus patiently endured the...

Jesus’ training method for his disciples was simple and informal, involving close association and fellowship rather than formal schooling. He emphasized the importance of being with him, allowing disciples to learn through his presence and teachings. This approach, evident in his interactions with disciples and his deliberate time spent with them, underscores the significance of personal connectio...

Jesus’ evangelistic strategy focused on training a small group of disciples, rather than large-scale programs. He chose twelve men, including Peter, James, and John, who were teachable and sincere in their faith. Jesus concentrated his time and efforts on these disciples, knowing their faithfulness was crucial for spreading his message to the world. Jesus, despite His popularity and ability to imp...

The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert E. Coleman emphasizes the importance of evangelism as a continuous, contagious, and compelling process. The book, grounded in biblical principles, aims to shift the focus from occasional evangelistic events to a more integrated approach within the church’s daily life. By studying Jesus’ methods and strategies, Coleman seeks to provide a framework for effecti...

We can never truly understand the agony and crushing distress Jesus experienced in the Garden of Gethsemane.  It was a moment of profound solitude and spiritual anguish, where the weight of the world seemed to press down on Him. In His prayers, He sought strength and guidance, knowing the immense sacrifice that lay ahead. Yet, even in this moment of vulnerability, His resolve remained steadfast, d...
