Part 2 (and conclusion) of a brief, biblical answer to the question, "What is faith?" I examine the complex life of King Asa from 2 Chronicles and attempt to glean what we can from his biblical record. 

So what is faith, really? We see it all throughout the Bible. We marvel at "men of faith" and our rhetoric makes it clear that we believe that we need it, but we must begin with even knowing what it is and why we must be found in it. Part 1 of 2. 

This episode discusses several topics but primarily the importance of laboring into reproducing the seed of God upon the earth. We who are in Christ can enter into the active rest of literally being in, and multiplying, the lineage of Jesus.

Just some thoughts on my present spiritual condition. What is spiritual maturation and what does it even look like? May we endure when things go quiet and thereby walk disciplined, when necessary. 

A simple discourse about the need to reinstate the biblical command to "confess your sins one to another" and the fruit that we now see from that primarily being void within the Church of our generation. To be clear, this is a simple and casual presentation that unfolded by happenstance as I was driving, not a thorough biblical study on the matter.

I was recently asked by a friend that I hadn't seen for a while, "So Joel, what's been going on?". My response was, well... pathetic. In this episode I'll examine why, as we ask ourselves what really defines who we are.

The wrap-up for the ongoing series. Here I recap and tie up the over-reaching theme of the Gospel, extended to men who will follow the pattern enstated by Jesus.

Admittedly, I get side-tracked on this installment but even with that being the case, the theme continues as we challenge one another to be a spiritual people who really forsake all and strive to enter into the "earth as it is in heaven" reality. We'll examine the pattern of Jesus and others who have gone before us in the Scriptures.

The series continues as we look at the scriptural explanation of "transference". Those in Christ have been literally moved from a dominion of darkness into a kingdom of light. It's time we start living like it! We'll use several writings of Paul (primarily) to establish some basic spiritual/governmental realities.

The third installment of the series. This one examines the questions, "What age are we in?" "Who now rules?" and takes a brief look into Lucifer's fall using Luke, 1 John, Revelation and several of Paul's teachings. 

After a lengthy introduction, here we'll dive into the timeline of man, beginning of course, in Genesis 1. We allow Scripture to answer the questions, "In the beginning, who ruled? Who reigned the earth?" This commentary is meant to stir us all up to expand our view of why we truly exist.

OK, so this is an introduction, kind of, to a new series I titled, "What Is Man? Reclaiming The Original Purpose Of Humanity On The Earth". In it I'll be examining what the role of man was intended to be according to God's design, the surrendered dominion and several other thoughts on reestablishing God's order on the earth in our lifetime.

This episode challenges our way of seeing. What is our primary way of perception? Are we seeing as spiritual men or are we too enamored with the natural to even recognize and assess the unseen? I discuss these questions and more today.

Here I share some thoughts on my presently low view of prayer and my quite limited expectancy of what could even be the outcome, were I to be found praying rightly, in faith.

This one admittedly starts out a little slow, but I eventually make my way into the meat of the message. On the heels of the "Follow Me" call comes this reality check of what it may cost us personally. It's drawn from an unexpected place in Scripture - the account of the demoniac, of course found in the Gospels. If you can wait me out, perhaps it will speak to you.
