Continuing in 1 Thessalonians, we are reminded this week that our God is a God who speaks. We're reminded not to quench the Spirit's work in our lives and His voice of prompting in us. Pastor Matt continues this week discussing why it is important that we be praying people and a people that gives thanks- that God's will for his people is that they have peace in Him. 

This week we continue our walk through 1 Thessalonians as Pastor Matt Bowles talks about what it means to rejoice always and the relationship that envy, anxiety, and humility play in this. Join us again this next week as we continue to verses 17-18 and talk about prayer without ceasing and giving thanks in all circumstances.

Our emotions do not always reflect what is actually true- God has designed a system in the church, and with spiritual authority within the church, that we can be coached and encouragd back to truth and experience an emotional joy in the solid truth of Christ. This is what Paul is teaching the Thessalonian church in chapter 5:12-13.

We're back from our break from 1 Thessalonians as this week, Senior Pastor Matt Bowles teaches on the senses that will be felt by believers on the joyous day when Christ returns. We will hear the sounds of his coming outlined throughout scripture, we'll see the cloud of his glory, we will meet and join with him, then to always be with him on earth. It is a happily ever after story for believers.

Pastor Matt Bowles is back to close out our summer in Romans 8, tying up the answers that chapter 8 presents to the dillemas presented in chapters 6 & 7. We are weak but we are His, and He has made us righteous to fulfill the requirement of the law through the blood of His Son so that we can say- 'if he is that for us, who could ever be against us?' 

Continuing in our Summer in Romans 8 series, Minister of family discipleship Joe Zinkgraf guides us through verses 26-27 about the Spirit of God interceding to God the Father on our behalf through our imperfect prayer and groaning. 

Continuing through our Summer in Romans 8 series, Elder Joe Mike Etter walks us through verses 18-25 focusing on the hope that we have as believers because of the glory that is to be revealed to us. We can walk through suffering then knowing that it is nothing worth comparing to that immense hope. 

This week, we continue in our summer in Romans 8 as Elder Logan Garrett walks us through verses 12-17, ultimately focusing on our adoption as children and heirs of God. 

Continuing in our Summer in Romans 8 series, Casey Lewis preaches on verses 5-11, distinguishing what Paul means by "setting our minds on the Spirit" rather than the flesh. 

Kicking off our Summer in Romans 8 series, Joe Mike Etter preaches on verses 1-4 focusing on this truth: that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. What does that mean for believers? We are to live a life in freedom. 

This week, "young punk" Jack Blakely continues in our series through Thessalonians, teaching on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-15 that believers have hope through life and death. Tim Keller sums it up well by saying, "All death can now do to Christians is to make their lives infinitely better." 

This week, Pastor Matt continues in his series through 1 and 2 Thessalonians, teaching on how believers should work, using the context of Paul's teachings to the new Thessalonian church who stopped working because they thought the end was near. God has a purpose for our work.

The resurrection of the dead frees us from the bondage of living our best life now. Because this is not the only life you get to live, then you can live on purpose now.

The insidious idol of comfort reigns in our culture and teaches us false gospels.
