When Babylon falls, it will be felt.  In Revelation 18, those who had benefited from Babylon lament her destruction, but do not come to her aid.  God’s judgement is certain, and as the scene changes, the heavens rejoice in Babylon’s fall. Teacher: Justin P. Sivley

David’s decision to take a census of Israel was a matter of pride.  Rather than trust in God, he was looking to trust in the number of soldiers in his army.  Displeasing God, he was made to choose a punishment for Israel, but was also shown mercy when he acknowledged his guilt.
