We often hear of Zion mentioned in gospel songs and sermons. But what is Zion, and what is its significance to the Christian believer? 

Worship is not just a duty or obligation, but a joyful response to who God is and what he has done. We are blessed with we praise and worship God.

When we feel overwhelmed by the chaos of life, this psalm reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, always present and always in control.

David sings: As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. Do our souls pant for God as David’s did?

As a general rule, we are not very patient people. We want things, and we want them immediately. But we are blessed when we wait upon the Lord.

David contrasts human wickedness with God's steadfast love in #Psalm36. When we turn away from sin, and put our trust in God, he satisfies our deepest longings.

Instead of seeking revenge against his enemies, David appealed to God for justice. However, let us go a step further and appeal to God for mercy for our enemies. 

David tells us to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” What does he mean? Let’s find out.

Psalm 32 is a beautiful expression of how blessed it is to be forgiven. All it takes is doing what David did: confess our transgressions to the Lord. When is the last time you confessed your sins to God?

Do you face difficult circumstances in life? Of course, you do! Follow David's pattern of prayer, which is a beautiful expression of faith that can help us in our times of struggle.

Although at times it seems as though God turns his face away from us because of our wicked ways, did you know that God's anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime?

Given that we serve such an awesome God, is there any reason for us to be filled with fear and anxiety? Put your faith in this God and be filled with strength and peace.

David speaks about those who speak cordially with their neighbors while they harbor malice in their hearts as evil people. Are you guilty of this?

David says: “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” What is the one thing that YOU seek?

Do we dare to ask God to test us and examine our hearts and minds to see if we are faithful? What do you think he will find? 

We all go through turbulent times and tend to panic. However, we can follow David’s example and do five things that will see us through the storm, safe and sound.

Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one with clean hands and a pure heart. How clean are your hands? How pure is your heart?
