One Topic (Now Known As Potato Sandwich)

Finally, the long awaiting follow up to the legendary second episode of One Topic - it's HOME ALONE 2.

To celebrate the 100th episode of One Topic, Autumn and Greg explore the significance of numbers in all our lives.

It's nothing to be ashamed of.

Jupiter is scary as hell.

Greg has had ten jobs in his life. Autumn has had no less than 58. Despite the grossly wide discrepancy, the two explore how their commitment and work ethic has changed over the years, how their various jobs have shaped them into the wonderful people they are today, and what sort of importance should be placed on it all.

Why do people eat the things they do? Oh hush - just listen. You're in good hands. 

IKEA prays on the human psyche, which is apparently that people want to feel like hamsters in a system of tubes, interconnecting multiple cages, with no actual way out. 

Everyone is a piece of sh*t. It's where on the spectrum you fall that matters.

Welcome to One Topic, where we...cover several topics. It's Autumn's week, and she wants to talk about dicks. Greg sabotages that topic because he's anxious, which means everything has to be about him.

Really? We're already almost a year removed from last year's Free For Fall? Where does the time go? This is absolutely insane. Autumn and Greg find themselves once again at their yearly non-One Topic episode, meaning it's the show where they talk about whatever is on their minds, not following the agreed upon one topic format of the show. Welcome to the Free For Fall 2020.

We all do really dumb things that we refuse to admit are dumb because it somehow "defines" us; trivial behaviors that give insight into our personalities, as if the world really cares about such a thing. How asinine.

Autumn questions what it means to be a man.

It's one of those days; importance and motivation have been challenged, and neither Autumn nor Greg feel like recording this week's episode. However, they both felt as though they should record a show, and try to do a good job with it. This is what they came up with. 

This is a bit of a weird one - the topic is survival, but Autumn and Greg struggle with where they want to go with the topic and what their point of view is. This episode is surely for those who are interested in the process more than the result. 

Autumn's parents are in town, spoiling her kids, saying "yes" to their every whim, which serves as the inspiration for this week's show. Warning, like many episodes, the discussion eventually leads to the topic of death. And yes, we've already done a show on "parents." "Second cousins" and "brother-in-laws" still to come. Mash that "like" button!

Autumn has a new job.

Another installment in the continuing series documenting Greg's transition to a hoarder. 

Mike Carano (mikecarano.com) joins the show to talk about the pros and, what turns out to be mostly, cons of teleportation. Autumn melts. Not literally. Well, maybe literally since the definition changed. What I’m trying to say is that Autumn is very excited about Mike being a guest. Greg thinks it’s cool too, but can’t show such weakness.

Is the nougat in a Milky Way and Snickers bar the same? Autumn and Greg find out. A little too quickly. And then they have to spend the rest of the show talking about candy.

The death of the diner is the death of America.

Autumn had a run in with a less-than-savory chump online, which served as the inspiration for this week's topic. She, along with Greg, break down the interaction, trying to understand the motivations of the internet tramp, branching to a conversation about social media as a whole. Calm down, they make a concerted effort to not re-hash the tired old lines about social media you've heard everywhere...

Autumn sets Greg up, choosing a topic she knows he'll go off on. He falls for the trap.

This show description is an underachievement.

Come along, little ones. It's time for another trip down Nostalgia Lane, to the Land of Avoidance, where we can escape reality for a bit and revel in toys - items that brought us comfort and made us think the world was all play.

Greg finds the act of doing laundry to be therapeutic. Autumn just wants to talk about the technical aspects of the chore. Typical One Topic.
