Number One With A Bullet

In the midst of one of the best years in music, America decided to do a prank on everybody and buy a bunch of copies of a cover song. It was probably really funny at the time, but now Andrew and Dan have to do a whole episode about a fairly embarrassing dance track. Great job, America! Luckily, the Oscar Noms also came out this week so we've got plenty to be excited about!

Once upon a time, America was a country without sexy. The people were lost and afraid, unsure of if they would ever have sexy again. Then, in the fall of 2006, a young man with a newly shaved head arrived and brought back all the sexy that the American public could handle. He also brought his friend Timbaland. This is their story.

It seems like just yesterday Andrew and Dan were taking about the Rolling Stones and their early dreams of becoming blues rockers. Here we find them ten years older and a lot more addicted to drugs. Old Rodney Stewart is back on the top of the charts this week with an ode to sleeping with older women and Andrew and Dan are along for the ride. We're talking jazz festivals, we're talking mandolins, and we're talking about whether or not we should tell Rod he's sexy. Someone has to let him know!

This week, Andrew and Dan take a winding trip through the history of folk, blues, and Americana, all in the name of this rather boring mid-century hit.
