Jesus is the founder of our salvation. He is the destroyer of death. He is the helper for those who suffer. How did He become all of these things? Through His own suffering and His own death.

What can we learn from the story of a boy and a can of tomato soup? We walk by faith, not by sight. Darkness does not dictate our step of faith.

In our series opener, we see in Hebrews 1 that Jesus is the greater person, He has the greater power, and He holds the greater position. Yes, the Old Testament prophets were great, but Jesus' word is greater.

On the road of disappointment Jesus arrives and walks the journey alongside the disappointed. He enters into the place of hopelessness, reveals Himself to the brokenhearted, and leads them back to the place of resurrection!

The cross is messy. God's saving work is beautiful and bloody. In the first sacrificial lamb, God is pointing at the Messiah, the Lamb of God who has come to take away the sins of the world. It is only by the blood that we are saved and raised to the newness of life.

Jesus invites us in to one of the most vulnerable and agonizing moments leading to His crucifixion. In the Garden of Gethsemane, what we see is the Father beginning to crush the Son on behalf of all sinners. Jesus' prays and makes His requests known to God but ultimately submits to the Fathers will.

A moment around the table at the last supper quickly becomes serious as Jesus addresses the room after Satan requests to sift the disciples. He turns the moment into a session on spiritual struggles.

The city is rejoicing and erupting in vibrant celebration as Jesus enters into the city. However, Jesus is not celebrating, He is weeping. He sees past the veneer of empty praise and get's to the heart of the problem.

Jesus has set His eyes on Jerusalem to prepare for the crucifixion. On His way there, he meets three individuals where grace came knocking. Today is the day of salvation. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost.

What does the blessed life look like? Well, according to Jesus, it isn't what you think it is. In His famous sermon on the mount, Jesus shares the ways of the paradoxical kingdom of heaven with His disciples. May we find ourselves empty, hungry, weeping, and rejected.

Can you see the gospel in a genealogy? Yes. In Jesus' genealogy, we see God's plan of redemption remains through the generations. In this message we see four impactful truths from Jesus' family tree.

In this exposition from Luke 5, we see Jesus calling Levi the tax collector to follow him. This is the beauty of the gospel. Jesus comes to where we are and leads us to an abundant life. He came to call the sick soul to repentance.
