Job has been struggling with a feeling of unfairness, and in times of unfairness, pride rears its head. In Job 40:6-42:6, God's speeches are bringing Job back from his misunderstandings. We find mercy as we undrestand God's justice. (ch40:6-14) We find mercy as we understand God's power. (ch40:15-41:34) We find mercy as we experience God's forgiveness. (ch42:1-6)

Job 32:1 - 37:24 God's love, even in suffering, is compassionate and merciful. Our wrong thinking only compounds our suffering, but God is faithful. He will move us back into submission with His will. God prepares you for rebuke. (v32:1 - 33:33) God prepares for you an advocate. (v34:1 - 35:16) God prepares you for His glory. (v36:1 - 37:24)

5/31/2026 Job 27:1 - 31: Wisdom is learned from God. (ch27-28) Wisdom is not found in our way. (ch29-30) Wisdom is lived out by following God's way. (ch31)

5/24/2026 Job 22:1 - 26:14 We can become trapped by wrong thinking. We must bring our suffering before God. There is freedom in trusting God's wisdom.

Job 15:1 - 21:34 If you misunderstand suffering, you will misunderstand redemption. (v15:1-18:21) Trusting God for His redemption leads to hope. (v19:1-20:29) Be prepared for the struggle as you wait for redemption. (v20:1-21:34)

Job 6:1 - 14:25 Suffering causes confusion. (v6:1-7:21) Suffering reveals inconsistencies in our understanding. (v8:1-11:20) Suffering must lead us back to God. (v12:1-14:22)
