Most Christian workers struggle with evangelism and so rarely do it.  We spend most of our time with Christians and minister to each other as evidence of our faith.  Misconceptions concerning what evangelism is and our personal responsibility to share inhibits God’s use of our lives to take the gospel to the world.

A living faith must experience a growing understanding of truth and must be continually interpreted and related to the needs of each new generation.  The closer a church is in doctrine, the closer they are in fellowship and mission. We reaffirm our beliefs!

The Bible has much to say about peace. Our world certainly needs peace between nations and within nations.  But even more, the people of the nations need the inner peace only God can give.  There is no joy except we have such peace.

The advent season is a chance to really focus and prepare our hearts and minds on Christ and all that His birth means for us. Not a ‘reason for the season’ but a directing of my heart and actions towards this belief: He is good, He is trustworthy.

It’s possible that you’ve never noticed Psalm 131 before. It only has three verses, so you might tend to overlook it as being not very important. But that would be a mistake because this little chorus by David is quite powerful.  Rev. Charles Spurgeon said that this Psalm is “one of the shortest to read, but one of the longest to learn.”

Unity has always been important in the church, and especially in times of transition. In Paul’s letter to the Philippians, we find him reminding the church that unity is what held them together through the challenges they had faced, and it would be necessary for the years ahead as well.

Scripture, life experiences, and nature teach us that we reap the full harvest of the good only through persistent effort. This applies to both our personal lives as well as the Body of Christ. The church I want to belong to is a Church that Stays Faithful to The Task.

While many churches are focused on social needs and discipleship, and doing an outstanding job, our real purpose is to share Christ and His gift of Salvation. The church I want to belong to is the church that keeps Christ as the primary focus.

The fellowship of the church is one of the most special blessings of a believer. However, it is more than a social relationship, it is a shared partnership built on the unity of the faith.

There is a great difference in God’s work of grace and man’s attempts to satisfy his wrath. There is also a great difference in the way a grace church treats the fallen.

The family I want to belong to is supported by the character of its leaders who prioritize scriptural values and are grounded in faith. Plus, we’re better able to deal with challenges that may come our way through poor choices or life situations beyond our control.

What God will use to grow your walk with Him and give endurance to your faith, Satan will use to try and tempt you by making you question, doubt, and walk away from God.

If you have ever felt that you had lost the presence of God in your spiritual life, you may identify with this Psalm. It is not uncommon to have all going well when suddenly a past failure or problem strikes you down again. Such was David’s problem.
