Participating & volunteering are two easy steps that any church member can do to help make the next five years at North Hills the best five years possible.

There are many benefits to setting goals. We are setting 5 specific goals for North Hills over the next five years that will help us accomplish our vision.' 1. Average attendance of 85 on Sunday mornings 2. Average Sunday School attendance of 50 3. Plug five people into ministry roles 4. Have two separate Acts church groups 5. Fifteen baptisms

Taking a look at some of our accomplishments as a church over the last five years allows us to see that we are building and sustaining positive momentum at North Hills. We are excited about what the next five years of ministry may bring!

In part two of this series, we review messages from 2022 and 2023. These key lessons were from pastor Kyle's fourth and fifth years at North Hills.

Pastor Kyle has now been serving at North Hills for five years. In this series, we will examine our accomplishments and review what we've learned over the last five years. Looking forward, we will also identify goals for the upcoming years as a church. In this first message, we review some of the key messages from Kyle's first three years as a pastor at North Hills.

The New Year is a natural time to take stock and start over but how often do we go back to the same old habits? As we move forward this new year, consider asking God for help dealing with your concerns of the past and burying them to help you move forward.

No matter what you are going through this Christmas season, we all have reason to celebrate. There is a hope, love, joy, and peace that is far greater than anything we can go through.

God has put all authority under Jesus as our king and ruler. Only God is greater. Yet, Jesus humbled and sacrificed himself so that we can be saved.

Jesus is such a clear image of who God is that he is the ultimate agent of God. God chose Jesus to be his representation to mankind and Jesus performed this role to perfection. We have a similar calling to represent God to others.

Jesus himself states that the Father is greater than him. However, as the Son of God and king above everyone besides God, he is also worthy of our praise. Furthermore, giving glory to Jesus also brings glory to the Father.

The Jews waited thousands of years for the Messiah, or the anointed one of God. He was born of a virgin being conceived by God's spirit. He is special and specifically chosen by God to be the king and savior of the world. No one else compares to him!

Modern research shows a positive impact on both the giver and the receiver of gratitude. We need to give thanks in all circumstances, both above and around. Take time to thank God and the people around you today.

It's easy to see the evidence and the biblical stance that life is short. It's much more difficult to keep this front of mind and impact the way you spend your time. Two important principles to live by are to make the most of the precious time we do have and to put our hope in the eternal age to come.

We have a unique opportunity be a light in this world of darkness. Daniel lived in a world of darkness as well, where it was illegal to pray to God. His obedience and dedication to God, instead of ma, led to miracle and furthered belief and reverence in God.

We have the ability to pray directly to the creator of the universe and he is a God that listens to his children. What a tremendous power!

If we are never silent before the Lord, we miss the opportunity to rest in His presence and may miss His direction for us. Our problem is usually that we're easily distracted and our thoughts tend to wander. When they do, have a centering prayer ready to bring you back into focus with God.

Whether you're a new believer, unsure how to talk to God, or a person who prays every day, the ACTS acronym can help you remember the major components of praying to God.

Prayer is so important to our relationship with God. There are many reasons to grow your prayer life and have communion with your heavenly Father.

Eli putting his two sons above God led to their downfall. Likewise, we make idols out of our families when we value them above God. The best thing you can do for your family is prioritize and love God above them.

We are going to face adversity like Nehemiah when we are doing the Lord's work. How are we to overcome it? Like Nehemiah, we should avoid distraction, pray to God, and continue pushing to do the work.

There is a lot of confusion in the world regarding how Christians should interact with those in the LGBTQ+ community but it all comes down to love. As Christians, there are four extremes that we need to stay away from when interacting with the LGBTQ+ Community.

We have a responsibility to love our Christian brothers and sisters always. For those inside the church, we also have a burden of spurring them towards growing in their relationship with God.

As Christians, we are called to be a friend to and to love and pray for those in the LGBTQ+ community outside the church. This is the best way to show them Christ.

We live in a world that is broken by sin, which means we need to know how to handle grief. Four different principles are found in God's word that deal with managing grief. 1. We grieve because God grieves 2. God is near the broken hearted 3. God heals the broken hearted 4. Hope in the age to come
