Nobody Likes Casey McLain

Casey is joined by his friend Jess Everett who is a stand up comedian and a collaborator on Road Hacks, a golf series on YouTube where Casey golfs with comedians. 

Casey talks to his friend Cory Michaelis about a comedy roadtrip, a drunk country club member, his hobby of attending strip clubs, and how Casey's golf game has improved since Cory filmed Casey's first swing of a golf club in 17 years.

I was driving from Chicago to Fort Wayne to open for Hans Kim at Summit City Comedy Club and took the opportunity to record this podcast which would end up being released late anyway. 

I was joined in my car by my buddy Gabriel Rutledge. We talked about stuff that should have probably relegated this podcast to Substack. In my hotel room in Oklahoma City I talked to Seattle comedian Andrew Rivers about growing up with a famous dad, his philosophy on career growth, and how he turned the pandemic into career growth. 

I did a weekend of comedy and golf with my friend Jess Everett and we recorded a podcast on the drive home. We talked about chem trails, helmet laws, and many other things. 

I talked about a bunch of dumb addictions and compulsions I have had. 

After listening to Gabe talk about being passed at the Comedy Cellar on his podcast The Drive Home (I have been on this podcast a couple times by the way), I had a couple of questions that he didn't answer in his own podcast. 

I was joined by regular guest and my good friend Gabriel Rutledge. Gabe and I were driving to a private show and our talk ranged a bunch of topics that I cannot recall completely. 

I talked about Julio Rodriguez extension with the Mariners and the Seahawks QB situation. 

My friend Harry J. Riley came on the podcast to talk to me about our time together in Port Townsend a couple years ago, whether or not ghosts are real and how that relates to big foot, being a black birder, and the state of American politics.

I called my friend Josh Firestine to talk about his favorite baseball team, the San Diego Padres, being very active at the MLB trade deadline and it devolved into a roasting session and some arguments about food. 

I recorded this podcast after a day of drinking and eating smoked brisket. That day was also my daughter's third birthday. I went into excruciating detail on how I smoke brisket and briefly complained about bad takes from supposedly credible people. 

I have been very lucky avoiding COVID, but my luck finally ran out. 

Casey talks about travel woes and hypocrisy.
