I think it's important to realize that God tests our faith with more difficult situations as we grow in the Lord. But we should also realize that the rewards becomes greater too.

Today's broadcast is about real men & women taking God at His word and living in His promises. They came to believe that which is ahead was better than what they were seeing. Some people received miracles while others lose their lives, BUT all believers are to live by faith! Here's the point, God does not have to heal you to prove your faith!

Today we look into Hebrews 11 which is often referred to as the “Christian’s Hall of Faith.” Paul used real life examples of everyday Christians that modeled endurance! They were counted as God’s people. They were known by God. We have this chapter as an encouragement to press on & stay faithful!

We're to have a reasonable faith grounded in the word of God. The New Testament repeatedly makes evidential claims by offering eyewitness accounts of historical events, which can be verified archaeologically, prophetically and scientifically. Biblical faith is given by God and it increases as we accurately understand who He is, what He's done, and what He's said!

The aim of the Christian faith, is NOT to know something, BUT to do something with what we know. To put our faith into action! But what is biblical faith? Is it blindly believing in something? Pastor Jeff spends a few minutes describing what biblical faith is not!

We're spiritually alive as followers of Christ. Therefore, sin no longer has dominance over Christians because Jesus set us free from the power & penalty of sin and now we live in the freedom and protection of the Lord. This does not mean I don’t wrestle with sin. It just means I live in a forgiven relationship with God thru Christ!

Short answer: Melchizedek is a type of Christ seen before the Law of Moses. Melchizedek is NOT a pre-incarnate Christ, he’s NOT an angel, and he’s NOT super-human. Rather, he only represents the order before the king & priest roles were divided during the time of Moses and the Law.
