Discipleship is a day-by-day process not just a 6 or twelve week program. What are some steps I can take as I walk with Jesus to grow in my faith?

How can we protect ourselves as Christians? We're talking about some practical advice the scripture gives so we can stay strong in the battle for souls!

Satan's tactics are designed to divide the Church and cause pain in relationships. Sometimes we get so concerned about our feelings and emotions that we forget to think about how our actions will effect others.

As a Disciple I must understand what I'm to do. Today Pastor Jeff mentions three things that a good disciple does in the lives of others.

As Christians we need to realize that it's the Gospel that changes lives. It's not our efforts or our ingenuity that will be effective. It's speaking about the life, death & resurrection of Christ that will have the transforming effect!

Jesus said that we would go through difficult times as Christians. He even said that we would go through times of persecution. What does this look like?

The bible teaches that Jesus should be our savior & our Lord. That just means that He should be in charge of our lives. If He taught that we shouldn't do something then we shouldn't do it. That's a basic Christian principle. But, what does that really look like practically?

Why do I need to read my Bible? My pastor always tells me I should know and even study my bible - what's the point when I have a pastor?! There's a reason behind this and Pastor Jeff talks about the "why" behind the "what."

Ever wondered how you should pray for someone? Maybe you struggle with what to say or the things that would be helpful for your friends or family. Today Pastor Jeff talks about a few things to consider praying for those who are close to you.

Sometimes if feels like there's no hope for change in our lives. Let me tell you that is the farthest from the truth! If you're still breathing then God's not done with you. And, He's not done helping you and He will bring the change needed in your situation and life.

Often times we forget that leaders within the church are placed there by God. They are to equip the church for ministry and help them grow into the image of Christ so we can mature in our faith.

The core issue we can struggle with, especially as hard times come upon us, is doubting God will provide for my needs. Jesus taught told us that we don't have to anxious about this! Today, Pastor Jeff talks about how we can overcome this struggle.

The Bible explains to us how to live in close community with people who aren't blood relatives - Love! Love towards someone else is a disposition that is kind & devoted. Its's described like a close familial love between family members. It's something that we all long for and that Christians should be known for!

There are areas in our life that God wants to do a deeper work to free us from the chains and addictions we’ve allowed to take over. The problem is that we don’t always surrender these areas over to Him so he can heal us and continue His transformative work. What are some areas that you haven’t allowed him access into?

What is it that guides your decision making? Is it scripture? Is it the Holy Spirit? Or is our thoughts and our emotions? It’s so easy to get pulled off track because of our emotions, good or bad. Today Pastor Jeff is talking about how we can prevent letting our emotions get the best of us and we ca stay anchored in God’s word as our leading force.

Anything we try to change in our life will have no lasting value unless Jesus does the transforming work for us. We can’t be afraid to commit to make the change but we must also not think we will be able to make it permanent with out the power of God working in us!

We should want to finish better than we started. Endurance is one of those things that can be hard to have as we live in the world today. Pastor Jeff gives us a few practical ways to combat giving up. The main idea is stripping off those things that tend to get in the way of our walk of faith!

Why did the priesthood change? Because it was imperfect under the law and only served as a temporary role until Christ came. Now we've been given the Holy Spirit to help us with the hard things!

This is intended for those who are contemplating leaving the faith and going back into religious practices that make you feel good. For those who stop short of faith in Christ and always struggle with changing directions. Those who are "playing games" within the faith and living un-submitted lives to the gospel truth.

When the failures of the past creep in, people within the Church somehow seem to begin relating to God by their own goodness. Departing from GRACE received by FAITH. Maybe some of you are doing the same!?!

We're spiritually alive as followers of Christ. Therefore, sin no longer has dominance over Christians because Jesus set us free from the power & penalty of sin and now we live in the freedom and protection of the Lord. This does not mean I don’t wrestle with sin. It just means I live in a forgiven relationship with God thru Christ!

Short answer: Melchizedek is a type of Christ seen before the Law of Moses. Melchizedek is NOT a pre-incarnate Christ, he’s NOT an angel, and he’s NOT super-human. Rather, he only represents the order before the king & priest roles were divided during the time of Moses and the Law.

When you live for Jesus, there’s an unseen enemy hunting you (1 Peter 5:8) NLT. He’s trying to wear you down so you get wobbly in your faith! Does that describe you this morning – Wobbly!?!
