President Donald Trump and Iran’s President Masoud Pezehikan have signed a deal meant to end the Middle East war. House prices are continuing to rise according to the latest CSO data but the rise is beginning to slow with property price inflation slowing from 6.7% in March to 6.2% in April.  Gerard O’Toole is the Immediate Past President, Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and an Estate Agent based in West of Ireland and joined Anton to look through the figures. 

A new FES report warns that AI is arriving in Irish workplaces faster than workers’ understanding of the rights and protections that come with it.  Dr Marta Lasek-Markey, Assistant Lecturer in Law at Technological University Dublin is the author of the report.

A glass of milk should be included in the hot school meals programme. That is the call from the National Dairy Council, whose Senior Nutritionist Dr Mary Harrington explained why to Anton.

The judge at the trial of Jeffrey Donaldson will begin his charge to the jury this morning following the conclusion of closing statements yesterday.  Our reporter Jamie O Hara was at Newry Court Court and gave us the latest from the trial.

There are fresh calls to ban conversion therapy in Ireland, which remains legal despite opposition from medical bodies and repeated calls for a legal ban.  To discuss this further Anton spoke to Shane Hickey-O’Mara Social Democrats Councillor for Limerick City North.  

US President Donald Trump has insisted the Strait of Hormuz will open "toll-free" under the US's deal with Iran to end the war. The text of which is due to be published in advance of its signature on Friday.  Speaking to Anton with more on this was Gregg Carlstrom Middle East correspondent for The Economist .  

Last month new rules came into effect in Dublin’s North Inner City banning bin bags on the street for bin collection. Local residents and businesses are now calling for the rules to be reviewed.   Labour TD for Dublin Central Marie Sherlock was at a local meeting.

On Monday, Parliament and Council negotiators agreed provisionally on changes to EU policy on the return of non-EU nationals staying illegally in the EU.   Speaking to Anton head of the vote today in Strasbourg was Fine Gael MEP for Dublin Regina Doherty .

Jeffrey Donaldson's Defence Barrister Kieran Vaughan will continue his closing speech to the jury today on the forth week of the trial at Newry Crown Court. For the latest on the trial from Newry Crown Court Anton spoke to our reporter Jamie O Hara.
