Can my good deeds save me? Paul shows us in Romans that our works are a vital part of our lives as Christians, but they are not what saves us. Only faith in Jesus saves, and these works are a grateful response to a changed heart.

When we look at the Old Testament we see person after person failing to live up to the standards of The Law. These failures show us that we need a savior who can stand in our place before God. In Romans, Paul shows us that Jesus is that savior.

What is wrong with the world? Scripture tells us that there is not a single good person. That everyone is born with a sin problem. So what do we do about sin? As we study Romans, we see that Paul addresses the problem of sin, and how Jesus intercedes on our behalf.

How important are secondary issues? - September 25, 2022 Scripture shows us that we should avoid quarrels with those around us and even more so with other believers. The Church should strive to work in unity placing aside the secondary issues.

Why do we come together to worship? When we come together in worship, we praise God and confess what he has done for us. We sing to our God, who has ransomed us. Let’s make sure the songs we sing have good theology, are clear, will it be long-lasting, and is it singable.

What would it be like to be fully engaged in worship? Imagine what it would be like to approach worship with child-like faith, placing aside all our expectations. Would we then be able to say, God, I just want you?

Should we bring our children to 'Big Church'? - July 10, 2022 We see in scripture that the children were part of the larger gathering of believers. Why have we stopped this practice? If children are the future of the church, we should encourage and disciple them. This includes how to be part of Church on Sunday.

What is the action of worship? - July 3, 2022 Serving others was at the forefront of Jesus's ministry. We see that Jesus spent his time on earth with outcasts pouring out his heart in service. This is worship in action.
