New Day Church

The way the Kingdom of God is talked about in churches can be oppressive. God is presented as the ultimate monarch in the sky demanding our obedience. If that is what closeness to God looks like, distance feels kinder. But what if that is in direct opposition to what Jesus taught? Not in some lost book. Not in gnostic texts. And not in some esoteric way. the Gospels themselves repudiate this messa...

This eek we continue our conversation on faith and prayer as perception and reception, sitting with the quiet claim underneath all of it, that faith is th...

It is popular today to talk about truth in the teachings of Jesus that was suppressed by the church. This usually means the gnostic gospels or other content totally omitted from the Bible. But what if the suppression is even more ironic and nefarious? What if the main message in the book actually included in the Bible has been suppressed and has been staring us in the face the entire time? What if...

400 years ago a frightened philosopher cut reality in two, inner and outer. Mind and world. We have been living inside of that split ever since and it is the reason your inner work keeps gong deeper but never arrives. This teaching identifies the wound plainly, shows how it lives in the body and offers a way back to the world that was never actually dead. Come home to the heart. If you appreciate...

You may have heard of Chase Huges. He is a behavioral expert with a large social media footprint. He often makes the case that we live in a world shaped by abstraction. In this teaching, I talk about how this leaves in a state of fracture and alienation where we think more than participate in reality and I think through some steps we can take to rediscover vitality and bliss. If you appreciate my...
