Though the church go through difficult times, Micah assures the people of God that in the end the church will triumph, which is a wonderful encouragement for God's people in every age.

When sin increases and you feel alone, where can you go? Trust in God is the answer Micah gives.

Does God require more than what is fair?  What has God done for his people?  Micah shows that if God were in a lawsuit with his people, he would be completely vindicated.

Sometimes God's pruning work can be painful, but it is always helpful.

God's Church is the source of blessings and curses in the world.  It may not seem like the Church is significant, but Micah shows us that this is far from the truth.

This passage is one of the clearest OT passages describing the glory of the coming Messiah.  If this Messiah has come, then God's people dwell secure.

Exile and restoration is the pattern of salvation according to the Prophets.  Micah shows this pattern in this passage.

Does God care for those who have physical disabilities? Micah shows how they are related to the Kingdom of God.

When you are struggling and need encouragement to continue in your faith despite opposition, what do you need? Micah gives the answer here: a glorious view of the future glory of Zion.

Christ's ministry is summarized.  Matthew shows us that Christ is the only Savior.

Matthew records Christ's calling of the first disciples, which teaches us how we are to respond to Christ's call.

Matthew gives a summary of the ministry of Jesus, showing again the way Jesus' ministry fulfills prophecy.

What did Christ's victory over Satan in the wilderness mean for your salvation? Without someone able to defeat Satan on our behalf we could not be saved.

The anointing of Christ with the Spirit is Jesus' formal setting aside for office by the Father.  Here Matthew shows the full Trinitarian significance of Jesus being the Christ.  This is the only Savior, the Spirit anointed Messiah.

   Sins in leadership often have a greater impact on society than sins of others.  Here Micah exposes the sins that have plunged Judah into godlessness.  This passage reminds us of the weight of leadership responsibilities that we have, whether it be in the family, job, church, etc.

Micah ends the first section of his book with a glimmer of hope.  Though the judgement of God is coming, yet there will be a King who will lead the people back.  All of this is fulfilled in Christ.

God's judgement has come upon ungodly Judah, but this does not mean they outwardly denied God.  Micah shows what it looks like when people are in the church but not faithful to God.

How does Micah respond to God coming in judgement? With mourning and lamentation.  This provides us with a window into how we ought to view violations of God's worship and his subsequent judgement.

John the Baptist's ministry points to the end-time reality that the Messiah has come. If this is true, then repentance and faith in Christ become all the more urgent.

Christ is persecuted as an infant, but God protects His Son in such a way that even persecution is a fulfillment of prophesy, showing Jesus to be the Messiah.

The Gentiles bring tribute to the King being led by a star. Have you brought yours?

The Son of God was born of a virgin showing that he is both Savior and God with us.

Micah begins his book with a word of judgement. What causes God to be so angry? Zeal for the worship of His name.
