Nerd Talk+: Nerd Culture, Space, Robots, Comedy and Beyond…

After the celebration of all things Branden, Gregr screwed up the schedule and we have no Branden again! Focus your brainwaves we've got weird adult toy news like we're in the times of Demolition Man. We're not letting the robots pick the music from TikTok for you, and quite the review this week!

This episode was so powerful that we changed the name of our group chat! We welcome back the king from his months in a fiery hellscape, we get weird about whale stuff, and I'm not sure we quite understand Ahsoka... 

Don't you dare kink-shame us for these spiders getting pinchy with some nipples - that's right, we're getting weird about scary Brazilian stuff this week. Huge props to Damon for being a g and to Ceej for filling in all these weeks. Also, we have a surprise return to wrap up the show with a real (double) bang!

We asked Ceej not to put the mic down his pants for the broadcast but as you can tell, he's a better improv listener than he is rule follower... We're getting Mt Dew drunk this week on Nerd Talk! Seriously, has anyone tried this hard dew? Gregr's voice is dead, Branden might actually be dead for all we know,  so it's basically Ceej running the show from here on out! Thanks as always for making us part of your busy life.

Look, it's too much cheese for one sandwich and I worried for Ceej's health. Branden is still out on Dad leave and so we get an extra dose of Florida Ceej to help out around here. We've got the solution to the film industry and so so many giggles.

This week we prepare for a our annual trip to Kent to soak up the nerdiest of atmospheres in a room full of Transformers fans, it's CybFest NW 2023. CybFest - the celebration of Cybertron the home planet of the Transformers - is an awesome chance to see people, toys, and artists from some of the most sincere and hardcore fans and a generally excellent chill time. Here's the deal, I didn't click the right thing so this was recorded Monday but is only finally going public on Friday. Once again Branden me lol in post by threatening to stab me and I can't stop giggling about it (oversell but true) Thanks as always for listening!

Why do the best jokes always come to me 3.5 hours after we record something. It's like every single day. Anyway, Branden is back from California and he's def never allowed back there after the outfit he tried to pull off/out. Massive props to Ceej for filling in last time out. And Gregr has something polarizing to taste test live on the pod!

In the vacation absence of Branden and his mustache, we couldn't be any happier to welcome super-sub guest host and all around excellent bean eating floating Florida man, Ceej. This episode had far more nipple talk than a show called Nerd Talk should, but that's how we keep em guessing!

If you gave it all up for a simpler life, what would your profession be? We have the return of a long dead segment this week! Air BnB for dogs is sure taking off and that took us down the road of cancelling out/opposite smells which ultimately leads to Branden probably having to sleep on the couch for a few nights... Shout out to DJ Slam for being a legend in the reviews, we're very grateful!

Very important Question of the Week - is peanut butter a liquid, gel or an aerosol? The TSA has a definite answer and whatever that is, it's not as good as what we came up with! Branden tells the grossest story of an idiot and his oyster but then also offers us a fun new snack to help settle our stomachs. Also, unrelated, we're not sure if Beethoven is Safeway material or not.

Earth as a layer cake! In the process let's hope we don't vaporize an alien civilization a billion light years away, sheesh. 

We spend a whole lot of time talking about everyone's favorite half human, two-thirds horse hybrid, the Centaur. This week is a whole new approach to the show and we're thrilled with the result. Sorry about the part about the clouds and specifically the rain, but it was super fun to just think about one thing for most of a show. Also, we talk about smoking pot in space in a... non-conventional way...

This one gets weird. When you think of a Centaurpede do you think of a human top with one hundred horse legs, or something... else... Also, how do you feel about robots covered in skin? And do said robots have nips or no?

As all our of entertainment will be not only chosen but also created by the machines, it's pretty fun to think about what the year 2100 will actually look like. We basically end up focusing on one creature with multiple butts as the template for our dystopia. Join us!

Happy New Year ya big nerd! Props to our own Florida Man, Ceej, for rounding up some new swamp coast friends! To be fair, they could be robots programmed by ceej with a chatbot, but if they were, they'd say more about butts prolly. 

In this final episode of the year, we tried out a new piece of Audacy App tech by having a live audience in the chat to offer suggestions and real time make jokes (Ceej). It's be a great year but now enjoy a couple weeks without us!

We discuss the ultimate equalizer to any wonderous super-power and it happens in the pants region and if Spider-Man isn't shooting webs then what is that stuff?! The return of our earliest feature and derailing Branden with lulz: it's this week's NT+! BONUS: if you want to do bongs with a dolphin, how do you do that?

We're letting Florida people fight bears by letting em use cocaine tobacco because that's a thing now. Also, lava. We love lava. Oh and good news, we pretty dang close to eating steak made in a tub of meat worms or something.

Appreciation post: we're so grateful to long time friend of the show and fellow weirdo, Ceej, for stepping in to fill Branden's seat these last couple of weeks. It's been great fun making alligator jokes and talking space with someone on Florida's Space Coast.
