He has written the letter, the exhortation has been given and now he calls the hears to bear the word of exhortation. To bear the exhortation and believe that Jesus is supreme. Mt. Zion is better. The early Hebrew church was struggling to continue following Jesus and the author is now encouraging them to and showing them that they have not come to Mt. Sinai but rather have come to Mt. Zion, the city of God, heavenly Jerusalem! We are already in Mt. Zion but not yet, and one day when Christ returns all His people will be with Him in glory, in Mt. The author here demonstrates how Moses' parents, Moses himself, the people of Israel at the Red Sea, the army of Israel at the walls of Jericho, and even Rahab the prostitute all by faith considered God trustworthy.
