(Ps 34) The Lord is near to those who trust in Him. God’s Word protects you against sin (Ps 119:1). Living by flesh vs. living by the Spirit (Rom 8, 12:2). Immature believers (1 Cor 3:1). Your walk is determined by your mindset (Heb 4:12).

(Ps 19:7-14) The Lord is our strength. Communion: Reflecting on and emulating the Lord Jesus Christ. How to say yes to God, no to sin (Rom 1:16ff, 7:15-19). God the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, baptizes and seals (RIBS). Law of the Spirit of life (8:1-6).

Phase 2 salvation in action (Rom 1:16ff). Is the wrath of God being revealed today? Discussed. We have a responsibility to be ambassadors of the Word of God.

Christian obedience (phase 2 sanctification) (Phi 2:12). Review of imputation, substitution and reconciliation.  What it means to be a bondservant and living epistle of Christ (2 Pet 1:1-11). Believers have everything they could possibly need to live the Christian life.

Review of types of sin. Can a “true believer“ love the things of this world and God at the same time (1 Jn 2:15)? God the Holy Spirit can empower you to submit and resist (Jam 4:7). The Lord Jesus Christ is our example (Mt 4).

What makes the Christian faith different (Heb 11:6; Rom 12:2)? Christianity is primarily about a mindset (Phil 2:5-8). This mindset inspires our actions. Phases of salvation (Jn 3:16; Rom 12:2; Rom 13:11). Belief is a persuasion (Acts 28:24).

Communion: The sacrifice that the world awaited (Isa 53:4-6). Miracles and signs continued. Jesus cleanses the temple (Jn 2:13-21). Review of Passover (Ex 12) and the temple. The Old Testament believers looked forward to Messiah’s redeeming work. We look back at what He has already done.

Basics

(Ps 36:5-9) Taking refuge under God’s wings. The relationship of believers to Christ (Jn 15:1-8). Productive vs. unproductive believers (Rom 12:2). New man vs. old man (1 Jn 3:9). 

(2 Cor 4:16-18) Do not lose heart. (Ps 139:1-6) God forms a hedge around you. Judgment of a nation. Five cycles of discipline (Lev 26:14-46; Prov 14:34). How to radically change your prayers. Pray that God will be glorified by answering your prayers (Ps 50:15).

Ukraine update.  Jesus the carpenter explained.

(Ps 42:1, 5) Hope in God in times of distress. Communion: Sharing in the truth of the Gospel. Experience in Ukraine: spreading of the Gospel (Acts 8:1). A look at the Communion “cup” (Mt 16:21, 26:39, 42).

(Rom 11:33-36) Glory to our Creator. (Jn 1:49-2:10) First disciples (Mt 4:18-22) and the first miracle. Prophesy of the Redeemer (Deut 18:15; Is 7:14). The first signs are designed to authenticate that Christ is the Messiah.

John 

Leveraging God's grace with humility (1 Cor 4:8-13; 15:10). Deep dive into the intricacies of grace, including modern challenge, divine viewpoint, grace at work, and points on the grace policy. The riches of God are available to all of us willing to demonstrate humility (2 Cor 8:9).

(Ps 103:1-5) Being thankful to God. (1 Cor 10:6-11) Paul reminds the Corinthians about Israel’s history (Num 11:4-15; Ex 32:1-6). Like them, we must be devoted to our spiritual lives every day and not allow ourselves to be tempted by Satan’s world. 

James 

(Ps 66:1-4) Praise the Lord’s glorious majesty. Remembering and honoring fathers. Readings from, “A Little Fellow Follows Me” and “Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters.” Fathers are critical. Without honorable fathers, we do not have a nation that conforms to God’s plan (Prov 1:8, 17:6; Eph 6:4).
