Episodes

Episode 31 - The Eight of Sausages 26.08.2019

Mastery, Action, Accomplishment. These are the attributes of the eight of sausages. It's no wonder we spend a massive chunk of the episode talking about Dwayne Johnson and his many action accomplishments. Paul and Alex talk overextending yourself, learning to say no, and the perils of trying to no scope your generosity. Also, Jon Arbuckle has some low ass nipples.  https://garfield.com/comic/1979/...

Episode 30- Split, Splat, Splut 11/02/11 19.08.2019

Look out, here come the cathphrases! Also, big shout outs to all of our various fanbases! Join Paul and Alex this week as they cast a wide net. This reading is for...you. Yea, you. We all have a hungry cat in our lives. What's yours? Are you feeding it? Does it snuggle you in return? This week we find the benefits of repetition. Also, Alex weirdly internet stalks an old high school classmate and t...

'Field Sightings 2 - Lifesagna 12.08.2019

No psychic readings today. There was too much Gfunk news, Paul had an amazing 'field sighting, and Alex won't stop eating edibles before recording. The Davian Field manages to pump some helpful advice through your two dumb hosts, but mostly this one is weird bits about ripping stuff and an inability to properly pronounce the titles of male sex workers. Dig in.

Episode 29 - All our Poop is Stardust 7/29/13 (Feat. Sarah Morgan Ashey) 05.08.2019

Oh Hey! Sarah done Nermaled her way onto the show again. We're always happy to have her and the hamster that operates her brain back on the show. This week it's Alex who needs to commune with the Davian Field, as his impending nuptials are stressing him out. Join us as we discuss conflict escalation, screamy huts, some amazing 'field sightings, and today's youth.  https://garfield.com/comic/2013/0...

Episode 28 - Ray Donovan's Exotic Fish Drones 3/20/87 29.07.2019

It finally happened. We generated a strip we were familiar about. It makes sense, since this entire episode is a sh*t show of fish puns and references to a television program neither host has ever seen. Throw in some dumb impressions and the field's advice to not date your cat, and we've got one of the straight up silliest episodes yet.  https://garfield.com/comic/1987/03/20

Episode 27 - The Moon is There 6/4/98 (Feat. Hannah Harkness) 22.07.2019

Ladies and Gentlemen, in this corner, the Junkyard Cat! Paul and Alex are joined this week by comedian and aspiring professional wrestler Hannah Harkness. We talk Garfield themed tag team partners, the Cats trailer (had to), real ass witchcraft, and the moon's effect on religiously inspired humping. It's a banger. The Davian Field is dropping an elbow off the top rope this week.  https://garfield....

Episode 26 - A Dark and Stormy Lasagna 3/17/85 15.07.2019

Lightning Strikes! And the weird lasagna starts to bubble in the oven. This week Paul and Alex are a little all over the place. Sarah calls in with some concerns for the Davian Field, Jim Davis is putting pieces of Garfield art up for auction, and Winona Ryder is probably one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, or at least their lil cousin.  https://garfield.com/comic/1985/03/17

Episode 25 - Dime Time garfs the Las 8/3/06 08.07.2019

Garfield! Where are you! Speak to us! This week Paul and Alex are feeling a little disconnected from the Davian Field. Some conversation about competitive lasagna consumption leads them to a date and a little reassurance from the Orange Oracle. Alex apologizes for the wretched Pennywise jokes.  https://garfield.com/comic/2006/08/03

Episode 24 - Hang in There 1/19/16 (Feat. Toby Nelson) 01.07.2019

This week your hosts are joined by Toby Nelson, who needs a job. The field responds with an actual "hang in there" meme, and we talk about the reproductive fluid of cartoon dogs...alot. Probably too much.  https://garfield.com/comic/2016/01/19

Episode 23 - Mystic Lasagna and Friends 24.06.2019

Here's a fun different weird episode! Paul and Alex record commentary over "Garfield Goes Hollywood". Join your hosts and the Orange Oracle as he takes his talents to the national stage. Watch along! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krwRY9Y1mL4

Episode 22 - Deadly Laugh Sweats 3/07/02 17.06.2019

Hang on to your panties. It's the horniest episode of Mystic Lasagna to date. There's...just so much slurping. Join Paul and Alex in wishing the Orange Oracle a happy 41st birthday, then as they turn to the Davian Field for wisdom regarding Paul's current crushing deluge of film work. It's sweaty sticky salad tossing fun, y'all.  https://garfield.com/comic/2002/03/07

An Interlude 11/6/83 10.06.2019

Just a short interface with the field this week, as Dr. Doctor Professor Father Paul is off being a big time producer. So, Alex shouts out a couple field sightings and then reads a big ol fat seven paneler about just letting life happen.  https://garfield.com/comic/1983/11/06

Episode 21 - The Wizard is the Mice Dudes 5/3/18 (Feat. Alexander Stine) 03.06.2019

This week Alexander Stine joins ya boys in Blanketphort studios to discuss basement treasure, Wizards, 1950's cool, and leyline maps. Then the Davian Field gives Mr. Stine some advice on transition from axe throwing to professional wizardry.    https://garfield.com/comic/2018/05/03

Episode 20 - Jon's Technicolor Dream Table 2/11/80 (Feat. Adam Phillips) 27.05.2019

This week number one fan and Level 3000 Davian Diver Adam Phillips joins us in Blanketphort Studios to discuss supermarket break room relaxation,  and we turn to the Davian Field for advice on being spoiled for choice. Our 'Field Sightings this week take a long dark look at the subreddit demon r/imsorryjon. It seems we have made contact with the darker side of the Davian Field. Have we found an en...

Episode 19 - Omnipresent Hamster 3/31/92 (Feat. Sarah Morgan Ashey) 20.05.2019

This week Paul and Alex are joined by Sarah Morgan Ashey, who, apparently, is controlled by an immortal hamster that lives in her head? Yea. Yea, that sounds right. Join all three as they ask the Davian Field about healthcare management.  https://garfield.com/comic/1992/03/31

Episode 18: Mostly Muffins, Cursed Muffins 5/31/03 13.05.2019

Well friends. We've had a bunch of guests on lately. We'll have more next week, but for just a second Paul and Alex are taking a step back to examine their process and the effects that meticulously observing the Davian Field is having on their everyday lives. Paul reveals an age old curse, Alex has a melt down because he can't remember the word "contradiction", and we take a pretty solid detour do...

Episode 17 - Teeter My Totter 5/3/86 (feat. Dillon Geyselaers) 06.05.2019

This week we are joined by Dillon Geyselaers! We discuss Jesus Wizardry, Guy Slurs, TV rituals, bonus Garth Brooks verses, and then the Davian Field helps Dillon make some decisions about his career. He has trusted the Davian Field...with his CAREER. TW: The Names of Towns in Connecticut  https://garfield.com/comic/1986/05/03

Episode 16 - Spider Brains 6/30/86 (Feat. Becca Stokes) 29.04.2019

This week Paul and Alex are joined by the inimitable Becca Stokes, who along with being an accomplished writer and comedian, spent ten dollars a month in 90's money on a Garfield fan club membership. Needless to say, the Davian Field has lots to say to one of it's oldest devotees about a recent medical diagnosis. Spiders finally make an appearance.  https://garfield.com/comic/1986/06/30

Episode 15 - Dog Cliff 7/8/17 (Feat. Emily Walsh) 22.04.2019

This week Paul and Alex are joined by Brooklyn based comic Emily Walsh. We discuss swimming in the Hudson, the Statue of Liberty's star sign, and truck grill based pop culture tributes before invoking the Davian Field. Emily's thinking about getting a dog. The Field, as always, provides her, and us, with wisdom on dog ownership and the responsibilities involved in keeping another creature alive. I...

Lost Episode - Chewing through the Darkness 15.04.2019

Paul and Alex are busy lining up guests and getting geared up for future lasagna based Mystical pursuits. So, this week we offer up our "Lost Episode". Recorded and sealed away back before we'd recorded any of our episodes, here's your intrepid hosts confronting Garfield confronting...a diet.  https://garfield.com/comic/1995/02/23

Episode 14 - Hi, Arlene. (feat. Amanda VanNostrand) 10/10/83 08.04.2019

Episode 13- The Catheian Field 2/15/10 01.04.2019

Welcome to Mystic ACKnowledgements. Every week your hosts Paul and Alex answer questions from listeners and guests using the purest source of knowledge and wisdom on the planet: randomly generated Cathy comic strips. This week we talk about the patriarchy, unrealistic beauty standards, and attempts at reclaiming your youth. ACK!  https://www.gocomics.com/cathy/2010/02/15

'Field Sightings - Je Deteste le Lundi 31.03.2019

Ok. We had to say something. After we received tweets, emails, multiple tags, and direct texts Paul and Alex felt compelled to address the Garfield phones washing up on French beaches for thirty years. So...here's that.

Episode 12 - Sassy Cat's Dignity Curls 1/29/02 25.03.2019

This week Paul and Alex discuss Garfield's body language and what might drive him to commit seppuku before digging into a question from our buddy Robert (from the Heartbeats podcast check it out) about getting his wife some friends in their new city. Talking points include stolen wigs, incendiary lasagna, and sneaky pinball leagues.  https://garfield.com/comic/2002/01/29

Episode 11 - Old Man Griewes 2/18/2007 18.03.2019

Sometimes we take a historical look at the Davian Field. Context, ya know? So, this week we look back at what the DF was doing while Britney was shaving her head and going kuku bananas back in 07. Along the way, Alex attempts some freestyle rap, Paul learns what a database is, and there's plenty of off mic insanity. Sometimes...the abyss stares back.  https://garfield.com/comic/2007/02/18
