My Blue Thoughts

Even though the Dodgers went 3-2 last week, their performance was sub par. They will look to bounce back and get right against the Reds and Braves, two completely different teams. Mookie goes down, adding to the piling list of guys on IL. Gonsolin has continued to be a bright spot. 

This week, we discuss the Dodgers recent struggles, and how unacceptable it is for the Dodgers to get swept by the Giants. We also discuss my recent visit to the Windy City, to see the Dodgers play the White Sox, and we also spend some time discussing my recent trip to Milwaukee. 

EP 6.9 The Dodgers complete another 4 game sweep of the DBacks! Thanks to a great pitching performance by Tyler Anderson (6-0, 2.90 ERA), and some timely hitting, the Dodgers continue to distance themselves from the rest of the NL West. Mookie is playing like an All Star and an MVP, and even though several Dodgers are on the IL, their depth is shown by guys like Rios, Anderson and Gonsolin steppin...

EP 6.8 In this weeks episode, Peter discusses the Dodgers 6-1 week. He shares his experience of attending the first double header at Dodger Stadium in over 20 years, his appearance on post game Dodger Talk, and he shares his thoughts on fans who are never satisfied. 

The Dodgers played well below their potential this week, going 2-5 against the Pirates and Phillies. Clayton Kershaw was placed on the IL with hip inflammation, and the Dodgers debut not one, but TWO rookie pitchers this week.

ow SWEEP IT IS! The Dodgers sweep the Giants, and the Cubs! The pitching staff is the best in MLB. Peter recalls fond Dodgers memories, and tortures himself by reliving Dodger heartbreaks of years past.

The Dodgers had a lack luster week this week, dropping 2/3 against the DBACKS, and taking 2/3 against the Tigers. Clayton Kershaw became the Dodgers all time leading strikeout leader, cementing him once again as a Dodger legend.  The Dodgers prepare to host the hated Giants, and then go to Chicago to face the Cubs. 

The Dodgers go 4-2 this week, taking series from Atlanta and San Diego. Peter discusses Will Smith expecting a new baby, and explains why players should wait before marrying their high school sweethearts. 

Dodgers are on a 6 game winning streak!! Sweeping the Twins and the Reds. The Dodgers offense got going this week, while also having tremendous starting pitching performances. I got to go to Minneapolis and almost witness history. My analysis of Target Field, and looking forward to this weeks series with the Braves and Padres.

Dodgers drop the season series opener to Rockies. Disappointing start to the season, but not life ending. Peter is heading to Minneapolis to watch the Dodgers.

EP 6.1 MY BLUE THOUGHTS IS BACK!! Peter starts season 6 by making some not so bold predictions. The Dodgers have multiple MVP's on this team, three in the starting lineup, you have a couple former Cy Young candidates, and just a loaded roster of all stars, and award winners. Dave Roberts predicts the Dodgers will win the World Series. All that, and more on the season 6 premier of My Blue Thoughts.

Dodgers wasted a golden opportunity to steal home field advantage. Sloppy base running, poor defense, and a lack of clutch hitting with runners in scoring position are to blame.  As the series shifts back to LA, the Dodgers look to either manufacture runs, or start hitting in the clutch. 

BRING ON THE BRAVES! In an epic five game series, the Dodgers defeat the hated Giants, to advance to their fifth NLCS in the last six years! It was a hard fought battle, but the Dodgers prevailed. Turner and Turner need to step it up. And the Dodgers look to end the Braves season, just like they did last year. 

Dodgers go into San Francisco and manage to split the first two games. Max Scherzer on the mound for game three. They have an opportunity to finish the series at Dodger Stadium.

The playoff match up that baseball fans have been wishing for, for YEARS. The Dodgers and Giants are will be facing off in the post season for the first time ever! The most combined wins by two playoff opponents. See my predictions. Dodgers vs Giants, for the right to play in the NLCS. 

EP 5.25 The Dodgers will need a miracle to win their ninth straight division title, so we have to accept the fact they will probably be playing in the wild card game. They will play either the Cardinals, Reds, or Phillies. With six games left, they sit two games behind the Giants. They head into the last week of the season with their eyes on the playoffs, but will it all come down to one game?

EP 5.24 The Dodgers now find themselves 1 game behind the Giants, with 12 to go. Anything can happen, and I think the Dodgers can overtake them. This week I recall the famous 4+1 game, back in 2006, still the best regular season game I've ever witnessed. Max Scherzer has leaped into the Cy Young lead, and the Dodgers have a record setting rotation. 

EP 5.23 With exactly 18 games left to go, the Dodgers still trail the Giants by 2.5 games. After a 5-2 week, they still lost ground. It's becoming inevitable, the Dodgers may be forced to play in the Wild Card game. Max Scherzer is the Cy Young leader now. 

5.22 Dodgers blow a golden opportunity to take sole possession of first place, and now trail the hated Giants by one game. Many opportunities were squandered. The Dodgers must now look toward a tough series with the Cardinals, before returning home to face the Padres.

EP 5.21 The Dodgers go a disappointing 4-2 this week, but still stay 2.5 games behind the Giants. Will Smith is clutch AF! Walker Buehler is the leading NL Cy Young candidate!

5.20 Peter got high, and then forgot he had to record a podcast. What could go wrong. The Dodgers gain 1.5 games on the Giants, and the Padres season is over. 

Ep 5.19 Dodgers sweep the Mets, yet still trail the Giants by four games. Walker Buehler is the leading Cy Young candidate, and Mookie is playing hurt. The Dodgers look for some help from Mets and Braves to beat the Giants, and the Dodgers hope to continue their domination of Pittsburgh and New York.

5.18 TREA TURNER IS THE FASTEST BASEBALL PLAYER I'VE EVER SEEN!!! The two new additions, Scherzer and Turner, make the presence felt immediately. Dodger fans finally got the chance to boo the Astros, and boo they did!!

EP 5.17 The Dodgers STILL trail the Giants by 3 games. There's two months left in the season, they need to start gaining ground. Andrew Freidman comes through AGAIN, with a blockbuster deal to land Max Scherzer AND all star shortstop Trea Turner! 

EP 5.16 My Blue Thoughts is back after a brief hiatus. The Dodgers begin a three game series with the Giants, and are in a part of the schedule where they can really gain and pickup ground. With the trade deadline looming, it's not a question of "if" they will trade for someone, but "who" they will trade for.
