Returned with an amazing album after a 5-year hiatus. They even got a van to match the album cover and took it on tour with them in North America. After recovering from Lyme Disease, Avril Lavigne returned with a powerful album about survival and empowerment. Released five years after her self-titled album.

Going back to her roots with the heaviness on this album. Lavigne is also having fun describing heartbreak and getting her revenge. Even expresses her vulnerable side in a couple of songs as well.

Working with Nickelback’s frontman, Chad Kroeger, on this album. Chad Kroeger co-wrote eight songs on this album. Exploring many genres on this album, singing about relationships, and having fun.

Taking a slower approach with heartbreak and diving deep into vulnerability. Avril Lavigne is showing more of her range, and this album took a while to write because it came from deep within her soul.

Exploring more of her party and preppy side. She wanted to let her fans know she could do more than pop-punk and rock.

It’s one of her very emotional albums with a rock twist. Exploring more of her vulnerable side about heartbreak. Adding more guitars to sadder songs makes the songs sound like her style. It may be my favorite album out of the discography.

Avril Lavigne is setting the stage with her debut album and image, letting the world know she is the real deal at 17, writing from personal experience, and connecting with a wide range of people.
