Join us as we talk about growing up in an African household, choosing your identity for yourself, and ways to imagine a better future.

Our voices as young people must be heard. We’ve had a unique experience on this Earth and have lived through some of the worst times. And, unfortunately, distress is all we know. Because of that, we can offer unique perspectives that can help change things. We just gotta get angry TOGETHER.

Many authoritarians rely on individuals who do not fight back or question what they know is wrong. It makes you easier to control and stops people from actively fighting against their oppression. By actively loving what makes us unique and rejecting conformity, we can send a big F U to the system. DO NOT OBEY IN ADVANCE

There is so much going on and it can be scary and overwhelming. By centering community, creativity, and rest, hopefully we can keep our sanity through it all.

Come along as we use our imagination to resist systems that have been in place since the beginning. We can’t do anything until we change our thinking…everything starts in the mind!!
