As the wall rebuilding nears completion and the gates are ready to be hung, the opponents of God try to distract Nehemiah from completing the works. How does Nehemiah filter out the noise and stay on task and what can we learn about that today?

In Nehemiah chapter 4 we hear how, with the rebuilding work ramping up, the opposition sought to disrupt the project and discourage the workers. In this preach we look at how God equips us to keep going on our own missions when background noise and fear of oppression and the temptation to withdraw distract us.

In Nehemiah 3 the workers start to rebuild Jerusalem’s city walls. There are three questions posed by Guy in this preach: 1. How do you see the church? 2. Who rebuilds/restores the church?, and 3. Which gate needs restoring? Let’ explore this together

Nehemiah was a man on God’s mission, he received a call to go and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, but this was not just a building project, it was an opportunity for Nehemiah to step into God’s plans and purposes. The question today is: How are you preparing for God’s call on your life?

In this first preach of our new series looking into the book of Nehemiah, we hear about the characteristics of a man who was called by God to rebuild both the city walls, but more importantly, a nation’s relationship with Him.

Genesis 2:18-25 is where we first read of the pairing of Adam and Eve. God instituted and blessed marriage and our relationships to be like the marriage of Jesus to his bride, the Church.

Artificial Intelligence is now a household term and there many applications of it, including ones that imitate human characteristics. In his preach Simon uses Genesis 1 and 2 to remind us that we bear God’s image, that AI bears ours, and that the two things are very different.

As we launch our mini-series, Jonny Holder investigates a theology of technology asking the question is technology good or bad and how does it fit into the wider world and the lives of Christian believers?

Throughout the Bible we read God’s instructions and guidance on the gifts and resources he gives us, but how should we regard it and what should our priorities be?  We start by opening up Matthew 6 and read from verse 19.

On Easter Sunday Mosaic church was privileged to baptise 6 people during our celebrations. In his talk Jonny Holder uses Paul’s letter to the Romans (Chapter 6) to prepare consider the question if we’re ready to take the plunge. We then hear the testimonies from those who are being baptised.

In Jonah 1 we read of a man, a prophet of God, tries to run from his God-given mission. In this talk Jude Tomlin asks us to consider our own challenges with the mission God has called us to and to run toward, rather than away from God.

Joseph of Arimathea played such an important part of the Easter story that the account of his actions are recorded in each of the four gospels. Today we learn how he was Genuine, Bold and Generous in the outworking of his faith in Jesus as Messiah.

Acts 28 famously ends abruptly and seemingly without a conclusion. This is because the work of God’s church through the power of the Holy Spirit continues, the book is still being written today. Listen to find out more!

Acts 27 – As part of his appeal to Caesar, Paul’s journey to Rome takes him on a treacherous journey across the sea. Whilst the account from Luke’s pen is factual, it’s no basic travelog! It teaches us much about the Christian life.

In this talk Andy Nicholls tells us the importance of stories, our stories, and how they impact the people around us. He gives his own amazing testimony and draws us a picture through Paul’s defence of his own faith as written in Acts 26.

In Acts 25 the Apostle Paul continues to be used as a political and religious pawn in a game of chess played by the ruling authorities. Eirlys investigates how their worldly approach to leadership contrasts with God’s, and asks us to examine our place in God’s leadership team.

In Acts 24 we read of an encounter between Paul (the captive), Tertullus (the lawyer) and Governor Felix (the judge), each of whom had a different view of the same situation and knew how they wanted to apply it. It begs the question for us today, what do WE do with truth?

Acts 23 brings us to a moment where Paul, for the sake of the Gospel is embroiled in a dispute with the members of the Sanhedrin, caught between the doctrines of the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Yet it’s not Paul himself being called into question, it’s the matter of the resurrection of Jesus. What was the significance of the argument mean back then and what does it mean to us today?

Adam North from Christ Central Church in Portsmouth joined us at Mosaic to share in our Eldership commissioning service and preach on the gift that Elders are to the local church.

In Acts 21 and 22 we see that being on mission for Jesus doesn’t come with a promise of an easy life. Being a Christian can be hard and it comes with challenges. In this message Simo unpacks what it means for us today.

In Acts 20 we learn how Paul left his the elders of Ephesians and continued on his mission to spread the gospel. In doing so he demonstrated how to live in preparation for goodbye, in the secure knowledge that God’s plan for his church and people would persist.
