Morning Psalm and Prayer

The Lord listens to your prayers today! He cares and He helps! When your heart trusts the Lord, you will be blessed. God loves His people, shepherds and shields them. Praise the Lord!

The Lord cares for you! Though you may feel alone today, even abandoned, the Lord continues to care and will never leave you! He is your light and salvation. He is the strong fortress protecting you. Set your heart on the beauty of the Lord. Wait for Him. And let your heart be courageous!

You are loved by the Lord! He delights in guiding your life and in expressing to your heart His faithful love. This psalm contains both a warning and an encouragement. The psalmist warns against associating with people whose hearts are far from God. And he encourages you to be found in His house giving praise to God for His wonderful works.

The Lord is faithful and good! His nature makes him generous and forgiving. He will show you His paths and He will forgive all of your sins when you submit to Jesus in faith.

You are qualified to approach God's Holy dwelling because of the righteousness of Jesus given at your salvation! Pray today for an entire generation to place their faith in Jesus Christ! And look forward by faith to the triumphant return of the King of Glory, the Lord strong and mighty!

A most loved and beautiful Psalm! A wonderful affirmation of the loving provision and guidance of God our Good Shepherd. Be blessed today in His goodness and mercy.

Seven centuries before the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, King David of Israel was given a prophetic description of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He wrote down the vision and it is in our bibles as Psalm 22. Be blessed this morning.

When God answers your prayer are you quick to give the credit? When He gives you victories for which you have prayed, do you give Him the credit? David gives a good example of offering praise to God for His rich blessings on his life.

Spoken blessings are powerful - whether in prayer or in person. This psalm is a good example of a prayer of blessing. This psalm also reminds you where to put your pride and focus -- and that is in the Lord your God.

God spoke all of creation into existence. The heavens declare His glory. Now He has spoken His Word for His followers to be blessed in their purity and radiance. Today, pray that your own words would give glory to God and be pleasing to God.

Who is like our God - the rock of our salvation? The Lord saves you, equips you and lifts you up as you trust in Him. When you pray, He hears from heaven. Today, you are set on a spacious place - the true foundation of God's Word.

Some live to reap treasure only in this life. The believer has an eternal perspective. When the believer awakes, the believer will awaken to the smile of Jesus Christ. It's a violent world in which we live but the Lord delivers His own if not in this life then with Him forever in eternity.

The boundaries for me have fallen in pleasant places. What an excellent thought! There is a lot in this world to shake us but when you place the Lord as the foundation of your life, you will not be shaken. Instead your heart will be glad and the Lord's abundance will overtake you.

Words matter. God spoke the universe into existence. The Lord pays attention to the words we speak because our words can also build up or tear down. This psalm shows the importance of speaking blessing to others.

Atheists boast in their unbelief. Yet even those who do good fall short of God's perfect standard. Praise God that He has loved us and provided for us in our need. Jesus Christ has delivered every believer from the penalty of sin and clothed us in His own righteousness.

My thoughts can run away, my mind not shut off, my anxiety rise. Lord, help me focus today on the Lord and His faithful love, hope and generosity! Put a song of praise and rejoicing in my heart.

Words are powerful -- for good or for evil. Word can spread truth or lies. There is one source of pure divine wisdom: the Word of God! Help me to build my life on the truth of the Bible.

Human and demonic adversaries oppose the Christian and the Christian faith. But the Lord reigns in heaven. The believer takes refuge in the Lord. His faithful surrounds the godly.

The wicked plot evil and think that they are beyond accountability. But the Lord reigns as King and will do justice for the fatherless and oppressed. The godly choose to trust in the Lord, King of righteousness!

The Lord will snare the wicked by the work of their own hands. But hope of the oppressed is the righteous God. From His eternal throne He will enact justice with fairness. Declare His praises in song! Share it with the nations!

The Lord God is the creator of the universe and yet of all of His creation, mankind is the pinnacle. God has crowned mankind with glory and made him ruler over all the created things on this earth. What's more, God is aware of each of us and loves every one!

God says the wicked are pregnant with evil, always giving birth to wicked acts. Yet the Lord notices from heaven. A day of judgment is coming, a day of justice. For those who live by the Truth, it's time to focus on the Lord's beauty and righteousness.

Enemies rise but so does God's justice. Guilt may overcome but your faithful love corrects me in grace rather than wrath. Thank you Lord for hearing and accepting my morning prayer!

Psalm 5 starts with the psalmist affirming his morning prayer time and how, having prayed, he watches for answers with expectancy. Everyone who takes refuge in the Lord are blessed, joyful and are surrounded with favor as a shield.

It's the Lord who vindicates His people and His gospel truth! So, "be angry and do not sin." Instead trust in the Lord, pray with confidence, and sleep tonight in peace. Thanks for sharing this podcast!
