Morning Manna

Balance is a critical skill that we must all have. In Matthew 10:16 Jesus gives us the balance that we need to have in this challenging time we live in... "Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

I learned this song as a child... "School days, school days, good old Golden Rule days." Kids are getting ready to start back to school and parents are posting cute pictures of their kids dressed up and ready with their new back packs on. Remember that every day is a school day for each of us. What is God teaching you today?

I love and appreciate veterans who have sacrificially served in our country. Remember that we too, as believers are to be "good soldiers" of Jesus Christ. Whatever hardship you're enduring today... trust and lean into the Captain of our salvation.

The year was 1979 when Sister Sledge released the song, "We Are Family." Did you know that as members of the Body of Christ, that we are family? How can we express that today? Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

I love the words of the chorus of a song called "Take Courage" - Take courage my heart, stay steadfast my soul, He's in the waiting. Indeed God is in the waiting room with you today. Be encouraged and be steadfast.

What do you need more of? May I suggest to us today that more than more money, more house, more popularity, more influence... that we need more grace. His grace is sufficient for us. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

1 Corinthians 10:31 say this; Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. That's our mission today and every day. Whatever you do today... make sure it glorifies our Father.

There are so many voices calling out to us today but the voice we need to hear most is the voice of the Lord. Listen for Him today!

Philippians 2:4 says; "Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." Let's make our mission today... others.

Job said; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. Physical food is necessary for our survival but so is spiritual food. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

There are some tasks that we repeatedly must do in life... life washing dirty clothes, drying them and then folding them. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 gives us our "spiritual" wash, dry, fold mission and purpose today.
